Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because... some of the taxa on the page were described in papers submitted to APP that may not be published this year b/c a number of in-press papers to be presumably published in the December issue of APP appeared online in the first four months of 2013 and the next issue of APP can only publish a maximum of 12 articles (see http://www.app.pan.pl/issue/issue/forthcoming.html) --Extrapolaris (talk) 22:46, 10 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Extrapolaris: I removed the speedy delete, but the article should really clarify that it is a list of papers expected to be published in 2015. Saying that it is "discoveries and events related to paleontology that occurred in the year 2015" runs afoul of WP:CRYSTAL. --Ahecht (TALK

Augustynolophus

edit

Wasn't Augustynolophus formally described last year? Abyssal (talk) 19:23, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

The electronic version of the article naming it was made available online in 2014, but it was not registered in ZooBank, so it didn't count as a valid publication. It wasn't until 2015 when it was published in a printed issue of Geological Magazine. --Macrochelys (talk) 17:46, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Middle Miocene wrasses

edit

It seems that the website of the journal Palaeontographica Abteilung A is no longer updated to display the newest published issues of the journal. Thus, I would like to ask: does anyone have an access to this article? Are any new species described there that could be added to 2015 in fish paleontology?--188.146.3.163 (talk) 21:11, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Should this study be added to this article?

Proposal to move sections to separate pages

edit

I recently noticed that 2015 in reptile paleontology and 2015 in archosaur paleontology lack their own pages. They are some of the only recent pages in this "series" that lack this standard format. I don't expect anyone to care too much, but I wanted to post here to make sure no one was opposed to moving the reptile and archosaur sections of this article to their own respective pages. -SlvrHwk (talk) 02:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
