Episodes Put in Correct Order

edit

When the show was produced they aired the episodes out of correct order of the books, if one was to watch the episodes in order they aired they would be very confused so I put the episodes in correct order. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.218.93.138 (talk) 14:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merchandise detail section

edit

This is a great article, but the merchandise detail did not belong in it. An encyclopedia is not the place for DVD specs and prices. --Tysto 04:01, 2005 July 10 (UTC)

Agreed. The content here looks as though it was influenced, if not written, by the company.Alpha Ralpha Boulevard 09:41, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Music

edit

Is the musical score of the series public domain or is it still copyrighted? I was thinking of uploading the theme song for the article, but I don't know if it's legal or not. Does anyone have any info about it? Vic729

Fair use rationale for Image:AdventuresOfTintinTitle.png

edit

Image:AdventuresOfTintinTitle.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disambiguation

edit

Anyone know of a reason the dab line was removed twice (here and here)?

Given their lack of an explanation, I don't plan on spending time trying to second-guess what's probably either some random anon editor messing about or someone with an arbitrary bee in their bonnet, and I'll just revert it until I hear otherwise. But perhaps I missed something? Ubcule (talk) 21:27, 20 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

25 min or 1 hour?

edit

Just browsing Wikipedia and noticed that the introduction paragraph here says "39 hour-long episodes", but the info box says "Running time 25 minutes (approx. per episode)". Which one is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.85.141.41 (talk) 10:41, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Could someone please explain why the person who wrote the following sentence, "Until the appearance of the 2011 film, it was the best-known adaptation of the books," which implies (or seems to imply) that the 2011 Tintin film is currently the best adaptation of the "The Adventures of Tintin" books? I strongly disagree to this implied statement. In my humble opinion, the Tintin TV series changed a lot less of the details of the Tintin books than the 2011 movie did. In other words, I think that the 2011 Tintin movie, while a nice adaptation of three of the Tintin books, was not the best adaptation of the Tintin books. The 2011 movie adaptation changed a lot of details compared to the books or even the TV series. For example, in the book The Secret of The Unicorn, Ivan Sakharine (who is the mastermind behind all the villains in the movie) is not or least does not appear to be so obviously the master criminal. In the book Sakarine doesn't even own Marlinspike Manor, the Bird Brothers do. I could say a lot more about the differences between the 2011 film, the books it was based on, and the TV series that came before the film; but I don't think this is the proper talk page to talk about it, so I only gave you a sample of the differences that I can/could list.

Voice artists

edit

As a Canadian / French production originally issued in French and English, I can see the point in listing the English and French voice artists.
There is, however, an ever growing list of other languages - 10 so far - and from the Broadcasts list it was also dubbed in Bangla, Sinhala, Telugu, Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic and other languages, which have not been added - yet. The lists of voice artists is beginning to dominate the article, and is of little/no interest to the average reader of the English Wikipedia.
Most of the languages it is dubbed into have their own-language Wikipedia articles on the series, where the associated lists are relevant and of interest. I, therefore, propose that the list be limited to English and French voice artists, as per the original releases - Arjayay (talk) 09:55, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
