I noticed you were interested in submitting your request for adminship. You might want to request an editor review first. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 20:50, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
What admin related areas have you had experience? I see two AFD edits in which you wrote, "completely pointless?" You need to consider how you bring that in line with a policy-based reason to delete?
I see many deleted articles in your deleted contribs. I assume you tagged them for speedy deletion, which is good. I did not see edit summaries, which is not so good. I also did not see user talk notifications for CSD tagging.
I see an interest in WP:AIV, but I see no recent contributions there.
I see article building. This is valued by the community.
You might want to hold off for now, and/or seek a more detailed editor review. Sorry for the brevity, but there was not much time. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 21:19, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
You are probably a net positive, but it's hard to be sure with relatively little work in policy- and admin-ish areas. Look through a handful of successful RFAs and a handful of non-successful ones and you'll see where you are likely to get opposes. Work on those areas then either drop your name in the hat or put out the word you'd like a nominator. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 21:29, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

You created this obscure article literally one hour before I was going to do so. You created it at 01:11 Feb 16 while I was working on the 1924 Cleveland Bulldogs season. I removed the Triangle's season from my list of articles to create at 01:52 Feb 16 after I saw it was already started. I'm just wondering what led you to make that article right then? Coincidence? A witch doctor? ESP? Useight (talk) 21:59, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
If you don't mind, I'll go ahead and add a couple of things that are missing. It's pretty good, though. I'll just add the league standings and their weekly schedule. I've been pumping through these articles at a pretty fast pace, having created 371 of them now. So I've got a pattern that I follow, which makes it easier. It's been a pretty sizeable project. Thanks for your help. Useight (talk) 23:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello WWEYANKS52, your RfA currently only has one support, with four comments in opposition. I think it's a safe bet that this RfA is not going to pass. Would you like to withdraw, and consider applying for an admin coach? iMatthew // talk // 23:13, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Your rfa is now at 7/4/5 but most of the complaints are that you haven't answered questions 4-10, so I suggest that you answer those if you want to pass. Cheers and happy editing!--Giants27TC00:15, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

I was asked to give you a review by Dlohcierekim. I guess I'm known for being pretty thorough in my reviewing, but note that I am also quite frank and I tell it like it is. I don't know what I'm going to find in my review, but whatever it is, it may sound curt or blunt. Nothing will even approach incivility or personal attacks, but it may or may not be all smiles and laughter. If you would not like to receive such a review, in which I will literally look at hundreds of your edits across various parts of Wikipedia, please let me know here. Otherwise, I will perform the review in a few hours. Useight (talk) 00:03, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Okay, here we go. First thing I noticed was the length of your userpage. It is far too long. I believe this is the first time a userpage has made me glad I have this mouse. It lets me scroll though 10,000 lines in 7 seconds. Usually its awesome scrolling is reserved for pages such as WT:RFA, but your userpage is also excessively long. I recommend breaking it into subpage(s) or maybe collabsable tables that hide by default. If you decide to leave the list of pages as it is, I would recommend moving those userboxes to the top. Speaking of page length, your User:WWEYANKS52/userboxing is also really long. Perhaps put the userboxes into a table instead of a column and perhaps tables, or hidden tables, or a different subpage, would be good for that list of MLB players. I am glad to see that Barry Bonds is on your list of players you'd ban from the Hall of Fame. Perhaps put the pictures on a separate subpage as well. Okay, now for your contributions. I'll start with the Wikipedia namespace. Regarding this, it is generally better to strike your comments than remove them when they are in such a place, some places, such as your talkpage, removal is fine, but in most places striking is preferred. But, as per this, you already know most of that]. Personally, I have no idea as to the correct answer to Q6 of your RFA. I do not deal with images, never have and never will. I, personally, probably would have responded with something to that effect. I've seen you do this with a bunch of edits, but a good example is this one. Always end your sentences with proper punctuation. Correct capitalization and spelling are also critical. Edit summaries are also extraordinarily important. Probably about a third of your edits to the Wikipedia namespace do not have edit summaries. This is a small detail, but a very important one, as it allows other editors to quickly see what you are doing and/or why you are doing it. However, when you do use the summaries, you do a good job accurately describing your change(s). An edit like this one should probably be tagged as minor. As should this and this. Looking at your work at XFD, I found this commnet, which wasn't all that helpful, pretty much adding nothing to the discussion. This one was equally on par with the previous comment. Three now. Another not really helpful XFD comment, but this one was better than the others. For future reference, it is much better if you include some policy citation as to why you believe the item should be kept/deleted. This was one of your better XFD comments. Found several other edits that should have been marked as minor, please read Help:Minor edit for information on which types of edits are considered minor. Okay, that was my assessment of all 148 of your edits to the projectspace. Further review to follow. Useight (talk) 17:47, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Mainspace review: First off, only 8 of your last 2000 edits to the mainspace are tagged as minor. Taking a sample of those edits, there must be hundreds of edits that should have been marked as minor. Again, please read Help:Minor edit. Also, you only added an edit summary to about about 50 of your last 500 mainspace edits. This is very important to rectify. I recommend you check the option under "My Preferences" that reminds you to enter an edit summary. Or simply remember to always add an edit summary. Your work is good, but there some technicalities like these that you should work on. Useight (talk) 03:27, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Art Ehlers, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Art Ehlers seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Art Ehlers, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Editing tips

Do not overlink terms in an article, only make links where they are relevant to the context, and only link each item once. Tables are the exception to this rule, e.g. the results table in pay-per-view articles.

The VG Project Collaboration of the Week is a new effort to improve important video game articles of low quality. Every week, an article is random selected by AnomieBOT from the Stub-, Start-, and C-class categories that are rated either High- or Top-importance. Such topics can offer a reader a good deal of encyclopedic information about video games, but are often too underdeveloped or lacking the proper level of writing and sourcing to accomplish this.
All editors are welcome and encouraged to participate by offering their insights and suggestions. Having a pool of different editors, both old and new, will help maximize improvements to the articles as well as our editing skills.
History
Collaborative efforts have come and gone within the VG project several times before. The first such effort, the "Gaming collaboration of the week", began in October 2004 as a result of the several otherweekly collaborations popping up on Wikipedia. It proved to be quite successful at improving articles to meet Wikipedia's standard at the time, but the effort eventually saw less and less participation. A second effort, the "Improvement Drive", began in August 2005 with the intent of improving articles to FA-quality. However, few nominations and articles were selected. The decline in participation in the collaborations and peer reviews resulted in a third effort. It began in February 2006 as a workshop, but never got off the ground.
Numerous discussions have taken place on at WT:VG to jump start collaborations and improve the process to prevent its decline again. While previous collaborations selected any video game article, most editors felt focus should be on video game topics more encyclopedic in nature—topics that are also generally in poor shape because of lack of attention. A common problem mentioned was that previous nomination processes were lengthy and hindered participation. The current idea to automate the process was brought up by JohnnyMrNinja, which was further discussed to iron out the details.
Current collaboration
The current collaborative efforts began in mid-January 2009, and several articles have been improved by editors. The random choice is intended to minimize the selection process, which allows editors to focus on article improvement. Improvements include better organization of content, massaging and copy editing the prose, removing excess non-free images, and much more. The random choice is also meant to encourage participation from editors of varying interest and help prevent burnout. If the present selection is not to your liking, wait until next week. Editors are encouraged to add Template:Collab-gaming to their watchlist to see which article is selected. Recently selected articles are:

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The VG Barnstar is an award given to Wikipedians recognized for efforts and contributions to improve and develop video game related articles.
The VG Barnstar is one of many Wikipedia Barnstars designed to be given to editors that have helped further the overall quality of Wikipedia. It was created in February 2006 by Jacoplane—see past discussion for details—and has been given to numerous editors since. Sometimes editors with multiple Barnstars use an alternative way to display them: ribbons.
Barnstars are designed to be given by anyone, so don't be shy as everyone enjoys appreciation. If you have noticed or have been impressed with the work of an editor, feel free to let them know by placing {{subst:Barnstar VG|"message" ~~~~}} on their talk page. The template uses a parameter to include a message expressing the reasons behind the award.

It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve.
A discussion is currently ongoing regarding the "In wrestling" sections of biographies. Please join in here.

File source problem with File:Charlesreipschlager.jpg
Latest comment: 15 years ago1 comment1 person in discussion
Thanks for uploading File:Charlesreipschlager.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:51, 3 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 16:51, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
