The discrepancy is, I believe, due to whether Greek and Ethiopian Orthodox (283m) and/or unaffiliated (110m) are included in the count. The 2.4b is cited for 2015 in "The World's Religions in Figures", by Todd Johnson and Brian Grim. I have not undone your change but I would recommend that you do so. This did nothing for being on the wrong end of a compromised, overstretched, and hopelessly out matched logistics train, and the results changed not a wit.
