Vladislav Doronin assistance
editHello, S0091. I am the new COI editor for Aman Resorts. In the past, you'd helped with some edits to the company page about the owner Vladislav Doronin. Now there is a pending edit request on Doronin's Talk page that I recently put up and I would appreciate your help with that as well. If you review these changes favorably, let me know and I can modify the content; your time is valuable.
Thank you, Astraea2024 (talk) 07:06, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Astraea2024 I don't generally answer edit requests but I did notice you did not include the edit request template which adds it to a list so editors who do answer request will see it. I have added it for you. I will leave you a message on your talk page about having a COI and making requests. S0091 (talk) 15:45, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your patience and diligence in explaining these various technical details with COI editing. I appreciate it. Astraea2024 (talk) 13:05, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
Draft: Kathleen Amm - Rejected
editHi @S0091, I appreciate your feedback for Kathleen Amm's WikiPage. I think that I have made the appropriate corrections because I rewrote the whole thing to be based off of third-party resources to not be like the previous version, which was using resources to support the content. I also understand that although I have disclosed my connection to Kathleen Amm, it is still an issue that I am writing this page. This is my first Wiki article and I am still navigating the process. Do you have any tips or corrections based on the updated draft or should I just resubmit and hope for the best?
Thank you so much for your time and knowledge! MagnetWiki (talk) 15:26, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @MagnetWiki based on the current sources, she does not meet the notability criteria. One source is an interview and the other two are a regurgitation of the same press release, both of which are primary sources and not independent, and nothing suggests she meets the notability guidelines for academics (read that). You are welcome to resubmit it to get another opinion though. S0091 (talk) 16:29, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Dave Wellstone
editHi @S0091! Thanks for reviewing my article. I would love the opportunity to revise the content, as I spent a considerable time on research, and it's extensive entry. Would you be willing to restore the content so I can move it to my sandbox, so I can continue to partner with editors? Thank you so much. SaraJKK (talk) 16:51, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @SaraJKK, it looks like the admin who deleted restored it for you in draft. Keep in mind the article is about Dave so all the content about his father should mostly be removed, outside of maybe a couple sentences or so as most if not all the information in already covered at Paul Wellstone. That is also the case for sources. If the sources do not mention Dave, then they are largely unhelpful and you need reliable secondary sources with in-depth coverage about Dave, not interviews, his comments, etc. Those are the type of sources you need to summarize to establish the article and it need to be written in a neutral manner; no praise, etc. Please also see WP:Words to watch. The reason I nominated for deletion is because in order for it meet Wikipedia's various policies, it would essentially needed to be rewritten from scratch as most of it was not salvageable. S0091 (talk) 17:47, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the feedback, I appreciate it! SaraJKK (talk) 17:55, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

Query about Rahul Narain Kanal
editHello there.
I was matching pages that don't have a Wikidata item to the WIkidata database (trying to match the ones that are there first) and looked at the page history on this: Rahul Narain Kanal. It shows you just denied it, but the OP moved it into mainspace.
Do I just revert the edit and it will move it all back? Or is there something more that needs to be done? OIM20 (talk) 08:11, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @OIM20 Eh, just leave it. I will go through it and remove all the unreliable sources then likely nominate it for deletion. Thanks for asking! S0091 (talk) 14:21, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Okay. Thank you. OIM20 (talk) 16:53, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Question
editHello ! I would like to know what exactly problem is about my article ? Which parts are inappropriate ? Faridgurbanov3 (talk) 09:24, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Faridgurbanov3 actually is biggest problem is almost none of the sources are reliable (student essay, a commercial site offering products and services, Forbes Council Post WP:FORBESCON, and a conference paper). The only reliable source is CISA but it's a primary source (government) so not useful for notability. S0091 (talk) 14:31, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Faridgurbanov3 after digging around, I think it would be more helpful to readers to expand Fileless malware. Based on what I have found, most sources talk about LOTL in the broader context of fileless malware. A couple sources you can use are [1] (this is a self-published source so not helpful for notability but fine to use for content) and [2]. The CISA doc would be fine to use as well. Your draft can be blanked and redirected to that article so anyone searching for Living-Off-the-Land attack will be directed to Fileless malware. S0091 (talk) 17:39, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your great feedback. But my first and fifth sources are thesis and research paper respectively. I would research sources you gave and edit the article

- https://www.scitepress.org/PublishedPapers/2022/110045/pdf/index.html Faridgurbanov3 (talk) 18:16, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Faridgurbanov3 see WP:SCHOLARSHIP. Neither are useful unless published in a reputable peer-reviewed journal. S0091 (talk) 18:23, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- https://www.scitepress.org/PublishedPapers/2022/110045/pdf/index.html this one is from IoTBDS 2022 - 7th International Conference on Internet of Things, Big Data and Security. But I will change the article by editing reference sections. Thank you for your feedback Faridgurbanov3 (talk) 18:36, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

Colin O'Brien (actor) rejection
editHi,
I appreciate your feedback and will certainly incorporate your suggestions in my next edit. However, I wonder if the standard you are applying for notability isn't arbitrary. For context, please consider that Colin was the star of a ten 60-minute-episode series, produced by Jason Katims, and also starring Connie Britton and Taylor Schilling (with whom he spends much of his screen time). He also has a principal role alongside Theo James in The Monkey, a movie from Neon which is coming out in February, and directed by Oz Perkins (director of Longlegs). He has the second most number of lines in that film and shares all his screen time with the star, Theo James. He has also guest starred in two of the biggest shows on television, Grey's Anatomy and S.W.A.T. Additionally, he played a young Timothee Chalamet (one of the biggest stars in the world), and acted alongside Sally Hawkins (a two-time Academy Award nominee and a Golden Globe winner) in Wonka (one of the biggest releases in the past year).
In contrast, consider Calah Lane, whose only significant work as a principal in Wonka. In contrast to Colin, she has no starring roles, just a few television appearances, and no work on the horizon. For added comparison, Colin's total screen time in all his work easily dwarfs the sum of all of hers. Further, she has no critics to cite to regarding the high quality of that work.
I think a consistent standard for notability would easily qualify Colin in this regard. I ask you to reconsider your decision.
Thank you again for your time, I do appreciate getting feedback so quickly.
Sincerely, Don O'Brien Donjobrien (talk) 01:53, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Donjobrien who he shares screen time with makes no difference because notability is not inherited nor, to an extent, does screen time. What matters the most are sources that have written in-depth about him. In this instance, most of the sources are brief mentions and the ones that have more coverage about him are regarding one role, thus my concern about WP:BIO1E. As far other articles, see other stuff exists. I think we can both agree Calah Lane is a poor article of which Wikipedia has many for various reasons. With that said, looking at the history it was nominated for deletion specifically because of WP:BIO1E concerns. During the deletion discussion she was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, which is a major award, and one of the notability criteria is winning a major award so the nominator withdrew. Had that not occurred, the article may well have been deleted. Reviewers are tasked with trying to determine the likelihood of an article being deleted if it where accepted. That's why is said in my decline it was "close" but concerned it may be nominated for deletion. The way to remedy to that is to add some additional sources that has some coverage beyond trivial mentions about him or his other roles. S0091 (talk) 15:16, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry if I stepped on further editing. I just changed the birthdate Donjobrien (talk) 17:31, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
Daniel-Ryan Spaulding
editHi, I added a few more references to Draft:Daniel-Ryan Spaulding. If it still needs more, would it help if I add some from his German page https://de.wiki.x.io/wiki/Daniel-Ryan_Spaulding ? Thanks! Allthemilescombined1 (talk) 01:04, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Allthemilescombined1 you have resubmitted it so another reviewer will take look. Without reviewing the sources in the German article I cannot tell you any of the them are useful but I will leave a note on the draft letting reviewers know there is a German version. S0091 (talk) 16:22, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

editFor saving Mor Chhainha Bhuinya with @Bonadart: I knew the film is important but didn't find the reliable sources that you did. DareshMohan (talk) 03:34, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- hi indeed S0091 (talk) deserves a thanks but there are guys who are still bent on removing the page, DareshMohan (talk) Bonadart (talk) 07:35, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- @DareshMohan, @Bonadart thanks! I wish I could find more but I am limited to English and limited to sources to which I have access. I have no doubt there's more but it would likely require going to a library. With that said, the WP:Wikipedia Library just added archives to The Hindu but you have to apply for access. My use would be very limited but I strongly suggest a least one of you requests it. If you do and it is granted, let me know so I can bug you on occasion. :) S0091 (talk) 16:27, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

Declined Draft (Primary Source problem)
editHello,
The draft I uploaded for David Lackland Sam has been declined due to lack of secondary sources. To understand what might be off, I checked the sources on his colleague's published page (John W. Berry), and I was still a little lost, because I do not think the draft I have is that far off. Can anyone help me understand what is missing by comparing these two pages?
Thank you in advance! Istarek (talk) 07:58, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Istarek looking at existing articles unfortunately is misleading for various reasons but one being policies, guidelines, processes and norms have changed overtime so what was acceptable years ago may not be today and there are a lot of poor articles (see also WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). Primary sources are fine to use for basic facts but claims regarding what is significant, notable, etc. generally needs secondary sources. The question to ask is "according to whom?". Similar with the projects. Importance depends on what other people/publications have written about them. See also the the notability guidelines for academics. S0091 (talk) 14:41, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying this for me! 193.157.243.143 (talk) 14:43, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
