I left a note at User:AusLondonder's talk page, asking them to reconcile their prod with WP:SOLDIER. He or she claimed SOLDIER was "just an essay". Sheesh, I wish it were "just an essay". I regularly encounter contributors who act as if SOLDIER were more significant than the genuinely endorsed special purpose notability guidelines, like WP:POLITICIAN. I accept User:DGG's interpretation that SOLDIER is so widely accepted that it doesn't matter that is "just an essay", it bears the same defacto authority as the the genuine special purpose notability guidelines.

AusLondonder removed the prod, but hinted he or she might challenge the article in future. Hmmm. Can't do it with another {{prod}}. Only one allowed per article. Geo Swan (talk) 15:27, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
