Deletion of Peoplesplanning.jpg
editI could not understand why the above picture has been deleted even though I mentioned in my talk page that it is a Government emblem for a campaign that can be used freely by us as Government Officers.Rajankila (talk) 12:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Arthur Benjamins - artist site
editDear Eskog, I have been receiving deletion warnings for the illustrations on above site. These are accompanied with Wiki jargon that only experienced users will understand. I have followed - what I understand is the problem - by placing the "No Copyright" licensing from the complex and totally unsatisfactory templates. Time and time again, I have specifically asked for assistance but not received it. I hope that a direct approach will help. Thank you,
DataObjects.Net pages deletion
editHello,
we've updated the text of this article last time. Moreover, there were few refs for you in the end exposing public visibility of the product:
- DataObjects.Net wins Reader's Choice Award in dot.net Magazin (2007, in German)
- Brief DataObjects.Net review in HowToSelect Guides
- Reviews search in Google.
Btw, for ~ 3 last months there was accepted DataObjects.Net v4.0 page. The text we've published in DataObjects.Net was based on it, but we added Features, Example and Architecture sections. Probably we should delete DataObjects.Net, rename DataObjects.Net v4.0 to DataObjects.Net (because now v4.0 is the most current version), and update its content, but I simply re-created DataObjects.Net - its actual content was moved from DataObjects.Net and updated as it is described above, and put a redirect into DataObjects.Net v4.0 to it.
So what exactly is wrong? Your references to G4 seems at least strange taking into account the acceptance of previously existing page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexyakunin (talk • contribs) 18:22, 18 May 2009
Accusations of hoax have been debunked - Please be fair
editESkog, please read http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#There_was_no_hoax_-_Please_set_the_record_straight and http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User_talk:Qqtacpn#Accusations_of_hoax_must_be_withdrawn
These articles were deleted at my own request (G7), and other Wikipedians agree there is no proof of hoax. Furthermore, after my request of deletion, I have presented additional irrefutable evidence that these accusations of hoax are false(http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss358/qqtacpn/).
I'm new to Wikipedia. I have made mistakes and apologized for them. I would like to give you a chance to do the same, by admitting that your accusation of hoax was premature. After that, I will leave Wikipedia in good terms. Thanks (Qqtacpn (talk) 23:29, 18 May 2009 (UTC))

Apologies.
editI apologize for uploading copyright images. I do not know how to check wheather a picture is copyrighted or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AzanGun (talk • contribs) 15:57, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Amitabh Bachchan
editSeriously, how do you propose we go back to the 1970s and obtain free images of this actor? Fair use is claimed when a free alternative for the actor during this period is not available. An image of him as an old man does not adequately critically illustrate important roles he had 40 years ago in the text now does it? Dr. Blofeld (talk) 15:26, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of Carindow Kirk picture
editI have no bloody idea why you would mark the picture I uploaded on the Cairndow, Scoltand page for deletion. Cairndow Kirk Summary.jpg Leehein (talk) 19:42, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Pictures copyright
editGood day, sir. I would have a question... can you see if a photo has a copyright protection on it? Because one of the photos I uploaded was "copyright tagged", that means it had a copyright protection on it that you detected, or the problem was that I couldn't prove that the author released it into public domain? Than you very much, --AdySarbus (talk) 20:40, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Military.jpg Copyright Issue
editNot sure how to add copyright information, but I uploaded it again with the statement 'Copyright Inormation: This is an original photograph taken by the editor and is released to the public.' added to it. I took the picture myself of a shadowbox I created or my father. Please let me know if this is sufficient! —Preceding unsigned comment added by SeanNovack (talk • contribs) 03:33, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

Why did you delete my image
editYou recently deleted my image (File:Deedsemail.JPG). I have two HUGE questions.
1 - Why was this image deleted without me having any chance whatsoever to make a comment on the talk?
2 - How does this violate copyright in any way? I took a picture of an email sent into my inbox. Where's the crime? Bigvinu (talk) 22:06, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

question
editHello there, there is a question that I really wanted to ask you. Why is my image again a acandidate for deletion? I have spoken to the wikipedia administration or whatever over the e-mails about which tag I should use for these photos and they said that the tags that I have now used are the correct ones, so why are my photos always being deleted? Could you get back to me asap? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vadimvadim (talk • contribs) 01:19, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
question
editHi, thanks a lot for your reply mate, I guess, what I should really ask you is, if those photos have been taken by me personally in that town, and I want to place them on the wikipedia page of that city, which tag should I use and what do I do generally, sorry, I have just started uploading pictures onto wikipedia which is why I still tend to stick the wrong ones. Get back asap, please, as I ma trying to resolve this problem asap./ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vadimvadim (talk • contribs) 01:28, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

profanity posting
editGot your notice that a posting of mine had been deleted because it was not constructive. I complete agree and am glad that you deleted it as it was nothing but profanity. I never made the edit, so apparently someone was able to steal my ID and password. I'll do all I can to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. 68.165.188.105 (talk) 20:15, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

This editor constantly vandalizes articles and refuses to respond to messages left on his talk page. He has been blocked at least twice. Why you would choose to defend him is beyond me. 172.129.98.125 (talk) 20:06, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Image:QueensBlackface.jpg
editThis is where I got the picture from. It cites livejournal.com. Livejournal is opensource from my understanding of the website. I couldn't find the picture on the site. All the major papers in Toronto used the picture. I assumed from all this that it is open source especially because of livejournal.com cited and it is open source. The picture was circulated on the internet. I don't think anyone wants to claim the picture as their own for obvious reasons. They uploaded it with anonymity in mind.

Why did you delite my pics?
editI SPENT HOURS LOOKING FOR THOSE PICS, AND THEY WERE PERFECTLY LEGAL!!!!!!! WHY DID YOU DELETE THEM?!
[[User:Enryū6473|Enryū6473]] (talk) 19:12, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, so how did the other transformers pic such as starscream and mudflap allowed? And also, you didn't say why my pictures that I took and noted that I took them were deleted. Really, im not intending to sound eritated/irate, I just want to get this straight. (and apperantly I'm a poet up straight)Enryū6473 (talk) 04:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- ok, just wanted to get this streight. Also, did I claim they were mine? Sorry if I did. I'll try re-uploading them correctly. Enryū6473 (talk) 04:40, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

File:Manchester Titans Roster.jpg
editWhen i first uploaded it i forgot to tag it. then i couldn't find the right tag, so just tagged it as a web screenshot so that it didn't get deleted for having no tag at all. then i found the correct tag for a self created image and edited the tag accordingly. It is my own work.Barnett89 (talk) 00:30, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

I have a permission from the club so as the other "photo crew" members to access the field durig the game with my camera. I made those pictures in past and saved them a long time ago. And started to upload them when i created my wiki account in April(I guess). I those pictures are mine. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gojeno22 (talk • contribs) 02:34, 12 June 2009 (UTC) No problem!..but it will take a while. Album art on an artist's page
editFile:Skin of Our Teeth Handbill.jpg.
editYou have added a comment asking for the addition of a copyright status. However I don't see any warnings attached to that image. So i don't understand what is wrong with what I have already attached. It is a low res version of a promotional item, which comes under fair use. It is also a photograph of something I OWN, so it is also covered under fair use from that angle. Tell me that you think I need to add that is not already covered. Copyright problems with File:SnagIt Editor.png
editMy understanding of the rules with regards to screenshots of programs is that if you took the screenshot yourself, then you are allowed to upload the image. I may very well be wrong, and if I am, please tell me so, and it would be very useful if you could explain what the rules are (please don't just send me a link to a Wikipedia: page, I often find them extremely hard to understand), please most a reply to your last comment on my talk page --Sauronjim (talk) 11:33, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for that. It's very simple when you put it that way :D --Sauronjim (talk) 11:46, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
