Abu Firas al-Hamdani

edit

1963 Syrian postage stamp depicting Abu Firas

  • @Eurodyne: Well, he is commonly held to be of the greatest classical Arab poets, and has been so since his lifetime. What if the hook were rephrased as "considered to be one of the greatest Arab poets"? Constantine 08:10, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
  • That would be more neutral, but could you find a source? Did I miss it in the article? Eurodyne (talk) 22:06, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
  • It is twice referenced in the "Work and legacy" section: the first two sentences, and later on "have secured Abu Firas' place among the greats of Arabic poetry". Constantine 08:55, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
  • Looks good to me. Recently 5x expanded, within policies, no copyvio, hook is catchy. AGFing since I don't have access to the actual source. Please move this to the prep area. Eurodyne (talk) 20:24, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
