Talk:Twenty-first Amendment to the United States Constitution

Roosevelt quote

edit
Before signing the legislation to abolish prohibition, President Franklin D. Roosevelt famously quipped, "I think this would be a good time for a beer."[1]

This is a problem since President's don't sign constitutional amendments. I found a reference to that quote with respect to Cullen-Harrision Act but that was adopted before the 21st Amendment. Roadrunner (talk) 10:47, 19 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Tennessee Wine & Spirits Retailers Association v. Thomas

edit

Is Tennessee Wine & Spirits Retailers Association v. Thomas worth a mention in the "court decisions" section? Particularly Gorsuch's dissent, perhaps? 12.132.53.98 (talk) 17:56, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

More history of the election of the state conventions is needed.

edit

If anybody can add more on the election of the state conventions in 1933 (campaigns, election dates, election modes, results by state, etc.), it would be very good for this article. 194.39.218.10 (talk) 15:39, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
