Removing "non-notable" works

edit

on 19:07, 11 February 2024 a big chunk of Hosoe's contributions were removed for readability. While I understand wanting to trim down the works so 3/4ths of the article isn't a list, there really isn't another place to view all of this compiled data together easily. Additionally, there could be arguments made about what is and isn't notable- for example, some entire soundtracks or arrangements were removed, while things like single tracks for DLCs remain. Would it be possible to retain the full work list under an expand or separate article to solve both issues at once? Kermamrek (talk) 10:00, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not a catalog. There are other sites like the Video Game Music Preservation Foundation (VGMPF) that a comprehensive worklist can be preserved. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 13:40, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I was the one who brought a lot of it together to begin with, but after seeing other composers' worklists on articles get cleaned up too, I decided to do the same. I'm not particularly keen on VGMPF due to its spottiness, though there's also VGMdb which is a mature source for cataloging the works of game composers. Hosoe's product list there is not complete as of yet, but is still pretty comprehensive. User:Meadowtron (talk) 15:48, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
