No connection to the Nara Canal
editJoshua Jonathan, Here is the Nara River in Gujarat. How is this connected to the Nara Canal in Sindh? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 18:28, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Kautilya3: okay, not sure about the Nara channel, but see this map, this map, and this map. PS: Iw as already hoping you could provide a map with the Nara river course, the link above is to a street... Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 18:30, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- The Nara Canal was already marked on the Ghaggar-Hakra page. That is in Sindh. And there is huge Great Rann of Kutch between Sindh and Kutch. No water passes from there to here. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 18:40, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- How about this? My interest seems to be in the "eastern Hara," c.q. Nara canal, as you noticed. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 19:28, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Here is the easternmost river I can find in Sindh (called "Char Dhoro" on Google maps). This is as far east as Hakra could have come. The in-between land, which you can only understand by looking at a satellite image is undulating hilly and lakey area. Pakistan would have loved to fight tank battles here, but the Indians declined the invitation. :-) -- Kautilya3 (talk) 09:18, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Very nice satellite image; thanks! Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 09:51, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
