Tag bombing?

Does this article really need so many maintenance templates everywhere? Pretty much every section of it has either "Refimprove", "Unreferenced" or "Expand section", and the one on the lead is not even correct (the article has footnotes, plenty of them). I doubt most of them are even needed at this point, and even if they are, it would be better to have them as a unified "Refimprove" at the top. Geolodus (talk) 08:06, 31 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

No longer Eurosceptic

edit

As of yesterday (February 16th), the Left Party has officially voted to end the policy of seeking to leave the EU:

Well, I think it's an exaggeration to say that they aren't eurosceptics anymore, but they do move towards a softer euroscepticism.Sjö (talk) 17:01, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

If like various other parties of the (far) left, they want a more socialist EU, that could be viewed as more seeking reform, rather than anti-EU per se, but accept the ECR article (by analogy) views that grouping as Eurosceptic.Culloty82 (talk) 17:10, 17 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge of Left Democrats (Sweden) into Left Party (Sweden)

edit

Doesn't seem to meet notability on it's own. Could be written into the 2000s section on the Left Party article alongside sv:Vägval Vänster. AlexandraAVX (talk) 18:54, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Support. I would agree that the article should be merged since it fails notability guildlines.`~HelpingWorld~` (👽🛸) 15:46, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Support as the event is notable unlike the organization on its own. ~ lovkal (talk) 11:49, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ideology

edit

The Left Party about to have a congress, and the party leadership has proposed to drop all references to captitalism and socialism. If this goes though, wouldn't it be appropriate to remove socialism from the infobox and replace it with left-wing populism, as well as changing political position from Left-wing to centre-left to left wing? 37.247.3.22 (talk) 14:22, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

No reliable sources call this party center-left, and indeed, many call it far-left. JustAPoliticsNerd (talk) 05:37, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is it similar to the Venstre (Denmark), which, by American standards, would be seen as center-left, the equivalent of the American Democratic Party? Even though "venstre" means "left", it straddles the center and is not far-left. See Venstre (Denmark)#Origin of the name. I wonder if the Swedish version is the same?
If you want to get really confused, look at the "Radikal Venstre" party (radical left party) found here: Danish Social Liberal Party. The use of the word "venstre" for political purposes in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden is quite different than the meaning of "left-wing" for Brits and Americans. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 02:52, 13 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
