Unnecessary changes
editAdam West has died very recent and due to how prolific he is, this page has come over consistent editing. However, some of the edits are very unnecessary like his new photo Is there a reason for said change? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.119.33 (talk) 03:12, 11 June 2017 (UTC)

On June 9, 2017, West died peacefully surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was 88.
- Partly done: West's death from leukemia already included. The rest of the proposed text not necessary per WP:NOTOBITUARY. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 02:19, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Biography.com
editIs biography.com considered a WP:Reliable source? If so, his entry includes some additional information that could be used:
- "Adam West". Biography.com. — 2606:A000:4C0C:E200:3DE6:8FF7:382D:9D38 (talk) 22:28, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- The ads are so obnoxious that I wouldn't want to use this as a source. Strawberry4Ever (talk) 12:54, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
More Adam West credits
editHe had so many credits, it's not too surprising if some get overlooked. I remember seeing him in an episode of the series Weird Science, for example, where he and the boys are "trapped" together on a desert island. That credit is also not shown under imdb for Adam West, but his guest appearance is listed for the series/episode. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.21.1.189 (talk) 04:56, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Should be in Wikipedia main page
editAdam West is notable enough for his recent death to be in Wikipedia's front page. What's the process to get it there? Thanks, DPdH (talk) 08:17, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- The article has been nominated for the RD section of In the News. However there are some issues reflected in the two orange tags at the top of the article which would have to be resolved and the tags removed before this can be posted to the main page. The lead section tag is probably an easy fix. Unfortunately the referencing is going to require some work as there are huge gaps there. The general rule based on past precedent is that at a bare minimum every paragraph that is not 100% WP:Blue needs at least one citation to an RS source. If there are multiple claims, then more citations may be required. Tables and charts also must be properly referenced. ITN is not a news ticker. It exists to promote quality articles about subjects currently being discussed in the press/media. Regrettably we have a ways to go here. -Ad Orientem (talk) 14:50, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- The lead length should not be a factor to getting on to the front page. Look at Ed Victor's lead. I'm just going to remove that tag. Anyone is free to expand the lead, but readers don't need added tag clutter. Zagalejo^^^ 18:23, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
Citation refs in filmography
editSo many inline refs come from one source. I was thinking of reducing most of the clutter into the one below:
Source: Contemporary Theatre, Film and Television, published by Gale
I plan to put it at the top of the "Filmography" section. Then I can use the inline ref on the above yet leave inline refs on uncredited roles remaining. Thoughts? --George Ho (talk) 16:29, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
- Sounds very reasonable to me. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:53, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
- Reformatted the reference. --George Ho (talk) 18:26, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

Divorced Marcelle Lear?
editThe wiki says he divorced his third wife shortly before his death, but that isn't cited. I can't find it in any obits and most of the articles seem to mention him still being married. Is that a mistake?--207.229.172.191 (talk) 05:14, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
Adam West was his screen name
editAccording to the cited sources, including the one on BIOGRAPHY, William West Anderson was West's real name and Adam West was his screen name. Accordingly, I think the first sentence should be changed to:
William West Anderson (September 19, 1928 – June 9, 2017), professionally known as Adam West, was an American actor ...

2019 Family Guy Episode
editAdam West posthumously starred in another episode of Family Guy in 2019 for a season finale episode, however he is not credited for this, and it states in the initial paragraph on the page that he only starred on the show until 2018.
