File permission problem with File:Poonam Kishore Saxena.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Poonam Kishore Saxena.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:35, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Indian Forest Service, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 10:42, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

The information on the IFS page

Sir,

I had no intentions of vandalizing wikipedia. I apologize if i committed any mistake. I just wanted to correct the page ,as the officers of IFS are still given the foundation course at LBSANAA and their is no mention of the foundation course be done at NADT. I request you to please edit it or allow me to do so. You may refer to the official IGNFA information http://www.ignfa.gov.in/IFSSyllabusReview/tabid/322/Default.aspx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anup patra (talkcontribs) 16:51, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Indian Revenue Service, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Intelligence Bureau (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Hodopathy

The article Hodopathy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No such topic exists (in reliable sources at any rate)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Hodopathy for deletion

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hodopathy until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mangoe (talk) 13:57, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Please reinstate the removal of a well known author.

Hi Uncletomowood, I am just wondering why someone who is getting all the media attention won't be on Wikepedia? Why do you think it is selfpromotion? I have provided all the reference which prove that Vinita was born in Milton, Canada. She got Masters in French from JNU New Delhi and she is well known. Please help me understand the reason behind removal from JNU and Milton. Please guide me how to reinstate again in the Wikipedia as I believe, it is meant for people to know about established and upcoming personalities. Thank you and waiting for your reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinitapankaj (talkcontribs) 18:54, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Oleg Postnov

He there. I think you put a tag on a bio of Oleg Postnov for deletion based on not notable? I explained why he is notable (multiple prize nominations should be enough). It looks like the tag on the page itself is gone, but I am just writing to make sure. What else do I need to do to ascertain that the page stays. I noted that there is a new tag criticizing the "promotional tone." I will look for somebody saying a critical thing about him shortly—although from what i could tell, the Russian critics love him.

Please let me know what I need to do to ensure that the article stays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZCB135 (talkcontribs) 17:15, 4 April 2014 (UTC)

Research Foundation for Governance in India

Hi,

I just received your message regarding the deletion of the RFGI page. I didn't know how to participate on the discussion page and therefore the message. (you can perhaps tell that RFGI wiki page was not developed by me personally)

I am happy to work with the community to make the article more encyclopedic.

Research Foundation for Governance in India

Thank you Uncletomwood!

I believe other think-tanks have their own wiki-pages too. For eg: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Brookings_Institution or https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/PRS_Legislative_Research.. so I would believe that as far as the topic of the wiki is concerned, a think-tank can have an article about it.

Happy to work with you and the community to make the article more refined. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kanandhru (talkcontribs) 11:39, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University

You say it is not national as it is still not included in CLAT? Going by your argument then, even NLU Delhi is merely a state University then! The National Law University status is granted by the State Act, and Bar Council of India, if you do not know. See Andhra Pradesh University of Law Amendment Act, 2012. All the NLUs are formed by state acts. (ref: reply of RTI filed to UGC by Ayush Jaiswal, student of DSNLU dated 2.2.2013) The National Status is granted by UGC, and Bar Council, and then only the ordinance becomes a bil for an NLU. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BytesOfBinary (talkcontribs) 05:06, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

Well, hello!

First of all, apologies if my voice tone seemed harsh! It was never intended to. With due respect sir, the inclusion in CLAT has had a lot of drama involved in it. The extra money that the CLAT committee receives per application form, are distributed amongst the NLUs. They do not want to lower their share by adding another NLU. The CLAT Committee is not any body to frame guidelines for inclusion or exclusion of any NLU from CLAT. Refer to BarAndBench about DSNLU inclusion in CLAT. So, the maint thing is, inclusion in CLAT has nothing to do with an 'NLU' status - that status is purely titular and is on the state's discretion.
