Queensland women's biography source material

If you are looking for "reliable source" material for women's biographies, Our Women, Our State was published by the Queensland Government for Q150 in 2009. The website has disappeared but it appears to be accessible via the Internet Archive. I note that, while there are relatively few women listed in the early decades, there are a lot in the later decades and you must click on the "Show More" button at the bottom of the photo gallery (left of screen) a number of times to get to all of the women. Thought your group might be interested. Kerry (talk) 06:35, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks, @Kerry Raymond: I'll check it out and see what use we can make of it. Oronsay (talk) 08:52, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Louise Burrows

Hi there, I have moved your article Louise Burrows to draft space as there currently isn't enough sourcing in the article to pass WP:GNG and because it fails WP:NRU rugby guidelines (hasn't represented a national side in the semi-finals of a World Cup or above). If you can find more sourcing to show it passes GNG then feel free to move it back. Many thanks. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 09:30, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Jan Fullerton

On 26 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Jan Fullerton, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1999 Jan Fullerton became the first woman to be appointed Director General of the National Library of Australia? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jan Fullerton. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Jan Fullerton), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

interred?

or 'killed', at least that is what I was going to say :) ~ cygnis insignis 21:12, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Cygnis insignis, Thank you, much better, have changed to killed.--Oronsay (talk) 21:37, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
A sad event, resulting in the death (or killing) of ten people. He is compared to John Gilbert, who I'm interested in, and oddly met a similar fate. Cheers for pitching in, ~ cygnis insignis 22:06, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you, Oronsay

... for welcoming me to Wikipedia! Looks like we have similar interests - more info about women in wikipedia. My article is only a draft so far - can I link it to the German article abyway? !'m asking because I don't see "edit" below the languages section Sunny greetings from Berlin, Tea0602 Tea0602 (talk) 06:45, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

@Tea0602: Greetings from sunny Sydney, Australia. Good to hear from you. When the Draft:Lena Braun has been reviewed and accepted it will be linked to Wikidata, which holds structured data for all the Wiki projects. At that point, German will appear under Languages in the side menu of the Lena Braun article. I have added a link on the draft's Talk page to the Women in Red project. It's a very active community and a great place to get help. Check it out and consider joining. In the meantime, a word or two on your User page would make it turn from red to blue! --Oronsay (talk) 07:05, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
