Your submission at Articles for creation: James Blake (entrepreneur) (December 24)

edit

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reasons left by Worldbruce were: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Churnalism like "Young Belfast ..." in The Irish News (repeated with minor alterations in the Irish Mirror and The News Letter) does not help to establish notability because it is not independent coverage.

Interviews or other sources basically in Blake's words, with little or no independent analysis by the reporter, also do not help to establish notability because they are not arms length. That eliminates 54 St James Street, "High flyers" in The Irish News, Business Up North (which contains independent analysis, but of scooters, not of Blake), ThinkBusiness.ie, and Forbes. Searches of the Belfast Telegraph archives fail to locate the named story, but based on the title and date it is likely similar to Business Up North, merely quoting Blake.

Brief mentions like the Ulster Star, lisburn.com and Belfast Chamber of Commerce do not help to establish notability because they are not significant coverage of Blake.

There are no independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of Blake. Therefore I concur with reviewer Hatchens that Blake is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia). No amount of editing can fix that. The draft serves only to promote Blake. If this draft were resubmitted, I would support deletion and/or blocking for tendentious editing.

Page numbering in references

edit

Hi, @MisterTech: How goes it? I was looking at your update to the Leticia Cáceres article. Per policy, can you please use Wikipedia:Edit requests to request an update. It is the normal way to do it, although it is an excellent update. Also please add page numbers to the references, when they are required. It makes it quite slow to find the information in the document, particularly if it is more than more than a few pages long. Thanks. scope_creepTalk 12:26, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello @MisterTech, I wanted to update the DataSpace page, because it’s outdated and didn’t reflect the current development. The update was rejected two times: http://en.m.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Dataspaces&action=history

I see you wrote the related IDSA article. Do you have any advise for me as a Wikipedia newbie?

I have no financial interest. I’m just a tech enthusiast.
