Help for sources on biographical article
editHi @Johannes Maximilian, I submitted an article on Draft:Martine Neddam a while ago and am just now getting around to updating it. I understand that most of the information is in need of a reliable source and I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to provide that. For one, I would start with the exhibitions and awards, but I am not sure if an online resource is sufficient or if it should be captured by the wayback machine and used more as a source. Secondly, for the bibliography, I was wondering if the ISBN needs a mother step or if it is automatically linked as it doesn't seem to be so yet or is it because the article is still a draft. If it needs another step, I would appreciate some help with that.
Any other suggestion are also welcome. Thank you Anikahw (talk) 14:24, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello Anikahw, thank you for your question. I can give you some general advice; see, for something or someone to have a Wikipedia article, secondary sources that discuss the subject must exist. These sources don't necessarily have to be online. I suspect that in your case these sources may be very hard to find, but you definitely have to put some work into that. - Thank you for your prompt reply. I updated the article, I hope this is sufficient. --Anikahw (talk) 08:52, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

editHey Johannes, I did more research and added more sources to the draft and resubmitted the draft one more time. Since your comments were valuable, I'd ask you to share a second opinion on the current sources. Thank you for your time Saul McGill (talk) 12:29, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
Dear Johannes, you previously reviewed an article I submitted to Wikipedia. Thank you for your feedback on this. I have been trying to understand what I need to do to improve the article but I am getting stuck on the measures I need to take to have it published on Wikipedia. I wondered if you could be a bit more specific in your feedback please? I have checked the in-line citation, footnote and referencing for beginners guides but I don't fully understand what I need to do. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. With many thanks, Kerry-Ann

editHi @Johannes Maximilian, Thank you for your comments on the submitted draft. I think the tenses in the draft are correct. Ongoing events in the present tense and past events in the past tense. If you have spotted specific tense mistakes, could you please point them out to me? I'd be happy to fix them if that helps. Belchford (talk) 09:46, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Johannes Maximilian for helping out with the grammar. I noticied the draft has been classified as 'start-class'. Was that your assessment or is it done automatically? Is there anything else I can or should do other than wait for the decision on the draft? I'd appreciate it if you had the time and patience to guide me as a newbie through the process.
