Disambiguation link notification for October 20
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Country Music Association Award for New Artist of the Year, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Anderson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Replaceable fair use File:Jenee Fleenor.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Jenee Fleenor.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:04, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Reba ACM Awards 2019.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Reba ACM Awards 2019.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kieron Gillen
editHi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with the GLAAD Award mentioned in this edit to Kieron Gillen, as this violates Wikipedia's Verifiability policy. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 14:13, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:The Five (comics).png
editThanks for uploading File:The Five (comics).png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:58, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Sid Sumner
editHello, I have a few comments about your recently created article, Sid Sumner. Firstly, bare URL references should not be used as they lead to link rot. Instead, use a full reference template. Secondly, WP:THESUN cannot be used as a source, as it is deprecated. Other deprecated sources include Daily Mail and Daily Star. Thirdly, I can see you have directly taken sources from Juliet Nightingale (I know since I wrote that article). The correct thing to do would be to find your own sources, but if you must use pre-existing sources, state that in an edit summary. An example: "Sources taken from Juliet Nightingale; see page history for attribution". – DarkGlow (contribs • talk) 20:01, 23 January 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Ss112. I noticed that you made one or more edits to an article, Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home), concerning the updates of review statistics, box office numbers, sports statistics, or some other frequently updated data with a fixed web address, but you did not update the |access-date=
parameter in the citation template. The |access-date=
parameter is the full date when the content pointed to by the URL was last verified to be working and supporting the text being cited in the article. This means that the parameter needs to be updated whenever the content is updated. editHello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 04:25, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Gossip Girl (2021 TV series). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. — YoungForever(talk) 05:08, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

S0091 (talk) 16:31, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Creating navigational templates
editHi Jackedano. Before creating any more navigational templates like Template:Bailey Zimmerman, please see WP:NENAN and the informal "rule of five". If there is not at least five articles for an artist's works to link to (not including their main article), they probably do not yet need a template made for them. Templates with less can be nominated for deletion at WP:TFD for having little use. There are only articles for three of Zimmerman's works so he didn't really need a template made for him yet. Thanks. Copying from Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comic Book into GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel/Anthology. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:21, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Doc Strange. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Doc StrangeMailboxLogbook 16:38, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did at Ratonhnhaké:ton. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you think that the page should be deleted, please read Wikipedia:How to delete a page. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 21:41, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Mark Salling, you may be blocked from editing. DonIago (talk) 03:22, 17 February 2023 (UTC)

editPlease do not assume ownership of articles as you did at Radio 2 Live. If you aren't willing to allow your contributions to be edited extensively or be redistributed by others, please do not submit them. Most or all edits made to that article since you last edited it were for policy reasons. You should not just revert to your last personal version of the article and carry on. Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Teen Series
editHi @Jackedano: I had to revert this and the other ones back to a redirect. They are non-notable. I looked at the references and are effectively are WP:PRIMARY. I did a reliable sources search and there was of worth adding. There was an Afd 13 months ago that found nothing. Unfortunately there is nothing to support a series of articles on the awards. I know its difficult getting stuff reverted or deleted. I've went through the same thing. If you revert they will go to Afd and they will be converted back to an redirect. scope_creepTalk 13:03, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Welcome to the Plains moved to draft-space
editThis means that the page is not currently part of the encyclopedia ("mainspace"), and won't appear in search results. The page still exists at Draft:Welcome to the Plains. I moved the page to draft-space because there is not currently enough coverage of the album to make it meet our inclusion requirements for such pages. However, once the album is released, it will likely garner enough critical attention to do so, and I reccomend you place it back in mainspace then (for instructions on how, see WP:MOVE) Mach61 19:43, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Talk Talk (Charli XCX song)
editOn 6 November 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Talk Talk (Charli XCX song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Charli XCX once followed George Daniel into a toilet but stopped halfway, and later wrote the song "Talk Talk" about the experience? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Talk Talk (Charli XCX song). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Talk Talk (Charli XCX song)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
