Beth Nealson
- ... that the first woman mayor in Metropolitan Toronto, Beth Nealson, ran against True Davidson in a 1966 mayoral race called "The Battle of the Belles"? Source: "Beth Nealson, known as Mrs. Leaside, was Metro's first woman mayor." (Toronto Star, Jan. 15, 1994); "Historicist: The Battle of the Belles" (Torontoist, July 19, 2014). Note: True Davidson was the incumbent reeve of East York township, not a mayor, prior to the 1966 election.

Overall: Article looks good, and I was glad to see that it survived AfD. As a note, Earwig does show a lot of similarity to this source because of the quotes. While it's not a copyvio concern and it doesn't affect the DYK, it might be a good idea to reword some of those quotes in Wikipedia's own voice, if possible. - Aoidh (talk) 14:47, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
