Talk:White Africans of European ancestry

An history section about the European presence in Africa

edit

This page give the false impression that the European presence in Africa began with the colonization. The settlement of Europeans in North and subsaharan Africa can be traced from the 20th century BC (more or less)

North Africans in the lead

edit

There is no need to specify that the topic of this article should be differentiated from "indigenous North Africans" in the second sentence of the lead. The title of the article is White Africans of European ancestry. It goes without saying that references to other ethnicities subjectively considered "white", whether on the African continent or elsewhere, are not covered here. Maghrebi Arabs, Berbers, and other North African ethnic groups that do not have ancestral ties to Europe have their own articles, and references to these groups fall outside the purview of this article. Proposed Merge I Guess

edit

Someone is proposing a merge between this page and White people in Botswana. What do you think?

Oppose, as I think that there is enough to discuss in at least some of the countries to warrant separate discussion. Note that there are a set of templates put up without a case being made: I can also see White people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and White people in Zambia. Oppose : Topic has enough notability to be it's own article. Ali Beary (talk2me!) (stalk me?!) 17:59, 12 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
