Invitation to WikiProject Women in Red

edit
Hi Ali, sorry your first-article experience was rough. I closed the AfD as a redirect, so your work is still there, just hidden (see [1]), and if you end up finding more sources some day, you can spin it back out into a separate article again. I can't answer your question about the redlink beyond "sometimes, people put them places where they shouldn't", I'm afraid. I really recommend that you join WiR - many, many editors there have had similarly disappointing first experiences, and they're there to help. There's sure to be someone you're interested in who is notable and doesn't have an article yet, and they have lots of redlists to help you find one. Good luck! -- asilvering (talk) 18:55, 20 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

George Washington edit - please read

edit

Your edit to George Washington is throwing a Harv error. Please correct it and ADD the Hamilton book. The Randall/Hamilton is still not listed correctly in the cited sources for this article, I assume because you've included "ref=none".
I don't know if you have this script installed but if Harv error isn't ringing a bell for you, go to User:Ucucha/HarvErrors and consider following the instructions there to install that script - User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js on your common.js page. - Shearonink (talk) 19:23, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Went ahead and fixed it myself. Hope that's alright. - Shearonink (talk) 21:11, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

GAN reviews: immediate attention needed

edit

Ali, hi, the two reviews you've begun on my GANs of Strawberry and Mandarin orange are not sufficient to meet the requirements for the GA process. I've placed a brief explanation at Talk:Mandarin_orange/GA1#Good_Article; obviously the full instructions are at WP:GAI, the GA instructions page. This needs your immediate attention, or the reviews will be discarded. Many thanks for your assistance. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:20, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah, my apology. I didn't realize that there was something specific to follow. I'll get to the reviews when I can. Thanks, @Chiswick Chap! Ali Beary (talk) 15:32, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks, glad to hear it. You can lay out your GA review pretty much how you like, but the key is to show that you have checked the article against the criteria. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:41, 26 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
