Recurring cast

The recurring cast section states (as does the source used) "The twins are in it". Does anyone know what this refers to? The cast list at IMDb (link) for The Worlds End has Kelly and Stacy Franklin as the Twins, and Francesca and Charlotte Reidie as their their teenage selves, but none of them were in Shaun of the Dead [1] or Hot Fuzz [2]. • Comment: Adding or removing "the" can often be controversial, and Wikipedia guidelines and policies don't say that "officialness" should determine the choice of a title. Please see WP:OFFICIALNAME. Also, for this topic I see that the logo styling puts "the" in a smaller font than the main part of the title, thus deemphasizing it. The cited source at Box Office Mojo just refers to "Three Flavours Cornetto" by itself. Both The Guardian and Entertainment Weekly just say "Cornetto trilogy" (lowercase "trilogy"). Moviefone uses "Cornetto Trilogy" as an article tag (but doesn't mention it in the article body). Time Out uses "Cornetto Trilogy". IWatchStuff and MrMovieBuff (via MetaCritic) use "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy" (without "The"). IGN refers to "Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's 'Three Flavours Cornetto' trilogy" (with no "the" and with the word "trilogy" outside the quote marks. There don't seem to be very many sources that discuss this topic. Many of the cited sources don't even mention the trilogy topic at all. • Comment: I'm obviously in favor of/support the move, but would like to elaborate. My argument would be that while the guidelines state official name doesn't always constitute the best name, this article should indeed reflect the studio's official name. In doing so it most accurately represents the content of the page. While there have been variations of the name by commentators and articles -- I would observe that this may be due to the respective writers not being familiar with the official title. As the studios involved have since published film series content with the name/logo on the packaging, it couldn't be more plain. These variation A.K.A. names can be referenced in the introductory paragraph (or elsewhere), but the fact that the film studios and those that own the films has made an official title, WP should reflect that. As readers see the official title and its logo, they will become more familiar with it. As they are familiar with it, it will become commonplace. Additionally, it could be that the move that user:KJ cheetham mentioned before may have been premature. Alternatively it may have been the best option at that point in time, as perhaps the associated studios hadn't officially named the anthology film series(?). Just a thought. • Weak oppose: Per my survey of sources above and per WP:THE, "The" is not consistently included in independent reliable sources that discuss this topic. I'm not personally one to defer to "official" sources, and even the official logo de-emphasizes its "THE" and "TRILOGY" by separating them off from the central phrase using horizontal lines and a smaller font, implying they are not part of the main title. Various sources omit one or both of those words or separate them out (e.g. using lowercase or putting "trilogy" outside of the quote marks that enclose the central three words). Most sources treat the name of the collection very informally, sometimes even using different names for it, such as "ice cream trilogy". —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 17:52, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
