GA Review
edit- "Subsequent injury – a broken leg sustained in a match against Southampton F.C. – terminated his season and he was replaced by Steve Harkness." the dashes need to em dashes, and there should be no space in between the dashes.
- "Recovery and injuries to other left back candidates enabled Bjørnebye to reclaim his place the following season, in which he scored his first goal for Liverpool in a match against Middlesbrough F.C. and contributed to the club's most convincing title challenge since the inception of the Premier League by supplying club strikers Stan Collymore and Robbie Fowler with precise crosses." this sentence is too long and needs to be broken up.
- "He decided to permanently leave Liverpool afer returning from the European Championship, accepting a £300,000 transfer to Blackburn Rovers that reunited him with former manager Graeme Souness. [11]" I'd wikilink the relevant European Championship, and there should be no space between the full stop and ref
- The quote at the end of the section should use the
“ | quote here | ” |
template
- "For Norway, Bjørnebye was capped 75 times" I'd swap this round to "Bjornebye was capped 75 times, by Norway"
- "Bjørnebye participated in both tournaments - seven matches in total." em dash again
- "He retained his place, featuring in the goalless draw against Slovenia that eliminated Norway from the tournament. [18]" space between full stop and ref
- wikilink Norwegian premier league in the retirement section
- "1994/95 League Cup with Liverpool FC
2001/02 League Cup with Blackburn Rovers" an en dash should be used instead of a slash
I'm going to place this on hold as the issues are relatively and should be easy to fix, good luck NapHit (talk) 18:30, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
In answer to your suggestions and the issues raised:
- 1) There isn't a prohibition on spaces for dashes and the whole debate on whether dashes should be unspaced or spaced is evidently unresolved. Neither style is explictly preferred by WP:MOS#Dashes. I suppose my personal tastes tend to influence my writing style.
- 2) I've divided the sentence. What's your impression?
- 3) Ah, neglected to link the European Championship before it was mentioned in the International career section. I loathe those ref spaces. How did I miss that!? Addressed.
- 4) Choice of which quote template is used in an article is purely discretionary, per WP:MOS#Quotations.
- 5) Rearranged and addressed.
- 6) Dash converted. Addressed.
- 7) Addressed.
- 8) Addressed.
- I want to again express my gratitude for reviewing the article. So many GACs are awaiting review and I'm feeling quite guilty about that ;-). SoLando (Talk) 19:47, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, I feel the same way Anfield hasn't been reviewed yet either, anyway the article passes now well done. However I would suggest trying to find a free image to use but it's no big deal NapHit (talk) 21:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
- I searched Flickr during my initial expansion of the article but found only this image which isn't really of encyclopedic value :-(. SoLando (Talk) 21:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

International Caps
editThe lead section and international career subheadings both state that Bjørnebye was capped 75 times, but the wikibox on the side has that number at 76. I've found websites that claim both. 75 seems to have more sources backing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YogurtLover5 (talk • contribs) 14:19, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
