Compulsory retirement age
editI think it would be useful if the date an incumbent justice is expected to reach the compulsory retirement age is included in this list. NoSeptember 06:08, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
This appears for current justices on the page Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, where it would seem to be more relevant.Ntmr (talk) 14:21, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Re-appointment of Lord Lloyd-Jones
edit@OhDigeridoo:: Lord Lloyd-Jones is now shown as both the 22nd and the 32nd justice of the Supreme Court. This seems illogical. The "biographies of the justices" section of the Supreme Court website implies that his seniority will date from his original appointment in 2017, and not his re-appointment in 2022. This is of some significance, as it would mean that, instead of being one of the two most junior justices, he would normally chair any panel upon which neither the President nor the Deputy President is sitting. Before the article is amended, do you or anyone else have any arguments to the contrary? I would suggest that two separate terms (one completed, one continuing) would have to appear in the "length of tenure" column.Ntmr (talk) 12:29, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Two separate rows with two seperate numbers certainly looks odd. Some lists of Prime Ministers etc. deal with returning office holders by repeating the original number in brackets, but a single entry in the table with two terms works best I think; I have gone ahead and made the change. 217.155.59.206 (talk) 13:31, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
Duration of tenure length
editFor some reason this seems to have stopped updating (Lord Lloyd-Jones's second term is longer than 10 days, and several justices who were appointed from a 1 October date will by now have served around 355 days this year). "Duration" is "on" so I can't see how to fix this.Ntmr (talk) 18:05, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
After updating for a while, the length of tenure column seems to have stopped updating again.Ntmr (talk) 15:24, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
