December 2019
editWelcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. — Vaibhavafro 💬 15:30, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: Your edits were indeed correct (i.e; the bill wasn't effective yet), but you need to properly cite the source using incline citations. I have done that for you. Best regards,— Vaibhavafro 💬 16:31, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Kosovo seats
editHello. Could you provide a source for the Kosovo seat distribution? Cheers, Number 57 17:33, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks - as the sources don't break down the seats entirely (for the minority ones), I think it's best to wait until we have a comprehensive one. While we as editors are allowed to do simple calculations (like sums and percentages) under WP:CALC, I'm not sure using the Webster/Sainte-Laguë method counts as basic calculations! editChina versus Taiwan relations with Nicaragua
edit(Re: Foreign relations of Taiwan) — Did Nicaragua not just derecognise Taiwan today? Nicaragua has already been removed from the section of countries with official relations with Taiwan. I'm not certain whether China has established relations with Nicaragua just yet, but Nicaragua has announced its intention to do so, so if they haven't done it already, then they will do it soon. Birth dates
editCompanies House is not an acceptable source for birth dates of living people (see WP:BLPPRIMARY and WP:DOB), so if that is Wikidata's source then we should not be adding those birth dates. I have reverted Anna Firth and Paulette Hamilton who are on my watch list. Please self-revert any more BLP birthdates you have added with similar sourcing. Thanks. PamD 13:08, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 16
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Government Equalities Office, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minister for Women. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Better source request for File:HK Express logo (2023).svg
editThanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13 00:42, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

Ethnic Minority Politicians
editHi,
I noticed that you were editing the article about Ethnic Minority politicians in the UK and were adding Ministers. I noted that Sebastian Coe, who served as an Assistant Government Whip from 1996 to 1997 whilst a Conservative MP (https://members.parliament.uk/member/783/career) and Lord Patel of Bradford, who served as a Lord-in-Waiting from 2008 to 2009 whilst a Labour Peer (https://members.parliament.uk/member/3798/career) haven't been included.
I also saw that in the Mayoral section it still says Joanne Anderson is Mayor of Liverpool however that office was abolished in 2023.
Also in the Members of Parliament section there are three Liberal MPs who are missing. Henry Arthur Herbert, his son Henry Arthur Herbert and Hubert Jerningham. All of them were mentioned as being Black British/White British (Mixed Race) in these sources, due to having African ancestry: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/queen-victorias-first-christmas_b_14087256 and https://www.radiokerry.ie/news/us-genealogist-believes-owner-of-muckross-house-was-descended-from-slave-293730. Whilst other sources mention the family: Sources about the family include: https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=43BGDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA109&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false and https://hampshirearchivestrust.co.uk/stories/blog/plantation-families.
BTW Henry Arthur Herbert senior become Chief Secretary of Ireland in 1857, which was a Cabinet Minister in the House of Commons.

UK MPs term dates
editHello - I see you've gone through a lot of MPs and changed their infobox "term start" to 4 July. That was the date of the election, but that isn't when they actually became MPs (obviously you can't become an MP before the votes have even been counted). The swearing-in of MPs was on 9 July per the official timetable. Ligaturama (talk) 17:49, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

LGBT politicians. Missing names and images
editPlease would it be possible to add some missing names of Labour Members of Parliament, as well as their pictures and info, to the LGBT British politicians article as I’ve seen you have edited it a bit.
The names would have course be in the members of Parliament section. All were elected in 2024 and their names and sources are below:
- Alex Barros-Curtis - https://www.itv.com/news/wales/2024-07-24/meet-abc-the-new-welsh-labour-mp-for-cardiff-west
- Jacob Collier - https://x.com/JamesAsser/status/1859719790413349332
- Martin Rhodes - https://x.com/JamesAsser/status/1859719790413349332
- Lillian Jones - https://x.com/JamesAsser/status/1859719790413349332
- Tracey Gilbert - https://x.com/JamesAsser/status/1859719790413349332
I also see that some of the MPs in the current article haven’t had their images updated e.g Kate Osborne, Kim Leadbeater, Chris Bryant and Sarah Dyke and was wondering if you could updated them aswell.

Thank you for adding missing names
editThanks for adding missing names to the list of LGBT politicians in the United Kingdom.
There are a few more missing and was wondering if you might be able to include them:
In Ministers in the House of Commons please add:
- Benjamin Thompson, a Tory - who was appointed as the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies in 1780
- Henry Somerset, a Conservative - he served as the MP for Monmouthshire and was appointed Comptroller of the Household in 1874
In the House of Commons please may you add:
- George Montagu who was a Whig MP for Northampton from 1744 to 1754 when he retired -
- George Selwyn who was a Whig MP for Gloucester from 1747 to 1791 when he died - BBC History Magazine. February 2011 vol 12 no 2 pp 53–54. "George Selwyn, a necrophiliac, gay transvestite, sat mute, loved, and undisturbed in the House of Commons for 44 years."
https://dailybritain.wordpress.com/tag/george-selwyn/
- Matthew Gregory Lewis who was a Tory MP for Hindon from 1796 to 1802 when he retired
- Henry Somerset who was a Conservative MP for Monmouthshire from 1871 to 1880 when he retired
I tried to include their sources, which are on their Wikipedia pages, to your talk page but it won’t let me (might be because there were too many)
I was also wondering if you might be able to change the name of The Lord Brooke to Fulke Greville in the LGBT members of the Cabinet and in LGBT members of the House of Lords change Fulke Greville to The Lord Brooke.
