First Blackpool goal
editJust to confirm that JET's first goal was scored at Watford on 22 August 2009. The official match report on the Blackpool F.C. states it was his goal. Alex Baptiste was incorrectly credited with the goal by the match announcer and sites like Soccerbase have still yet to correct their stats. This was confirmed in an email from Blackpool F.C. club secretary Matt Williams who, on 2 November 2009, in response to a request for clarification stated as follows, "If you look closely at our official site, the report from the Watford game details Jay scored not Bap http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10432~47327,00.html The stats for soccerbase and our site are provided by PA and for some reason they still haven't changed it!" Also, taken from the next match day programme after he scored against Watford, JET said, "I didn't hear it announced over the tannoy as Alex Batiste scoring so I didn't really know about it. He did try to nick it off me in the changing room after, but he was only joking - he knows it was definitely my goal."--♦Tangerines♦·Talk 17:39, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Height
editA number of different options:
- 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) - Telegraph
- 1.88 m (6 ft 2 in) - Soccerway
- 1.91 m (6 ft 3 in) - Soccerbase and Sky Sports
Thoughts on what is correct? GiantSnowman 14:27, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- I hope there is precision parameter just like in wikidata. Round up to 1.9m and state ±0.05m just like in engineering and scientific documentation . Matthew hk (talk) 14:32, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- This is a human, not a machine. GiantSnowman 14:42, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- His new club gives 1.91: in Thai, but Google translate works well enough. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 14:45, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

- Or made a footnote to list all value from reliable source. We can't tell which is the correct value as we can't measure it ourselves. The "mid-value" is 1.88 and ±0.03m is more significant than people using new source to change the height from 1.81 to 1.80. Matthew hk (talk) 14:47, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Telegraph was probably correct, for 2015! It's 2019 now, so 1.88 or 1.91 would be more correct. I would consider 1.91 as per two sources, soccer way could be out of date already. Govvy (talk) 14:50, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Wait, technically that would be three sources saying 1.91. Govvy (talk) 14:52, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- "Telegraph was probably correct, for 2015". I agree the source is a few years old, but personally, I find it highly unlikely that he would have grown a further 2 inches after the age of 24........... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 14:53, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Had the same argument in Andrea Ranocchia, may be Telegraph is an outdated value, but either the original measurement is wrong (but we never able to judge their procedure ), or Emmanuel-Thomas had grow up after age 25. Matthew hk (talk) 14:54, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
LOL, I didn't even look at his age, but some people still grow into the 20s, or it's possible that everyone is just so short in Thailand that they decided to make him that taller!! Govvy (talk) 14:58, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- We can't tell they made hoax value or not. But with shoes on and without, stand straight or not straight, can affect the value. Also, people use to use a plate to push your hair down, so that hair style can't change your height value. But as we can't measure it, may be using footnote, or stating a rougher rounded up value, or a value that more reliable source to support it.
- So far 1.91: the club press release , soccerbase and skysport, verse 1 and 1 ? Matthew hk (talk) 15:07, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- He should hopefully appear on the squad list for his new club shortly. They include heights. I would always use the most recent official source, which in this case would be the club announcement. However, the most recent club profile I could find was his Gillingham profile, which has 6'0" (182.8 cm) – which just adds to the confusion (sorry). Nzd (talk) 17:51, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
- We, the press release from Thai claimed 1.91, while his old club using a figure that was off by 0.09
cm(edit, m), it seem more suitable to not stating any figure or stating both (or more version) at all . Matthew hk (talk) 18:53, 13 January 2019 (UTC)- 191 cm - 182.8 cm = 8.2cm. Did you mean 0.09 m? I suspect the PTT Rayong announcement has used a height they've got from another source, rather than actually measuring him themselves, so it'd be interesting to see whether this changes once he appears on the squad list. But agreed, either nothing at all or a note would be best, at least for now. Nzd (talk) 23:58, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

- Yes, did not check the typo in mobile. Matthew hk (talk) 11:14, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Based on this picture of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas at Bristol City, it's clear that he is easily taller than both Marvin Elliott and Marlon Pack who are listed respectively as 1.85m (6 ft 1) and 1.88m (6 ft 2). Jay's most likely height is of 1.91m, but I can't be too sure. Nehme1499 (talk) 18:31, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
- Well, so far the Thai club did not create the profile for Emmanuel-Thomas in their website yet. Matthew hk (talk) 16:32, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
