Bias

edit

This page is biased. It is all about WikiFauna, while there is no existing page about WikiFlora! What about the Wikipedian plant life? —Preceding signed comment added by Nicky Nouse (talkcontribswikia) 03:33, 8 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I WANT TO BE PLANT WikiGriffinKitten (talk) 08:12, 2 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes! For example, one could be a WikiIvy, clinging to one or two articles and not letting go. Or a WikiCactus, hardy, needs little nourishment and instructions, though possibly rough around the edges and maybe doesn't get along well with others. How about dem WikiCrabs?

edit

Something like: WikiCrabs are similar in behavior to WikiGnomes, but easier to spot as their shell offers protection and they don't need to hide as much. Also, their preference for waslking sideways means they're more likely to contribute to a wide variety of articles, including on [[ Wikipedia#Language_editions|multiple language Wikipedias]] or even other Wikimedia projects.

As crabs comfortably move sideways maybe they might have cross referencing functions. GregKaye 19:41, 23 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

New fauna idea: WikiNecromancer

edit

I had the idea for a WikiNecromancer: someone who finds old abandoned articles and brings them "back to life" (fixes them up, properly cites them, puts them up for reassessment, etc.) They would spend most of their time roaming around WikiProject Abandoned Articles, or the random article area. I'm not sure if this is a good idea, or if there is already a WikiFauna like this, but I thought I'd put it up here anyway. --LichWizard talk 00:59, 10 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Why not? The more the merrier. I always liked Necros myself:P
You could combine some aspects so that it's not just one thing. Necros are adept in both life and death, so minor traits could be that he can also use his powers to treat "sick" or "broken" articles. And his vast knowledge often protects him from being intimidated by other WikiFauna, and can be of valuable help in debates or discussions if he decides to take part in that. He's mostly selfish, and can often come across as being a narcissist, but never in a destructive way. He values life so much that he refuses to die, or let articles die.
Just some rough ideas. Karel Adriaan (talk) 03:24, 4 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Haven't been on here in a while, but I just saw this, lol :P I could get to work on a page for it if it seems like a good idea ;) --LichWizard talk 14:35, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ideas for new species

edit

I have two ideas for new species of WikiFauna:

  • WikiEspeon (is extremely loyal to other users)
  • WikiClown (specializes in Wikipedia humor)

Hope I was helpful! Blacky the Bre (talk) 19:19, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

How to add new species?

edit

I have an idea for a new species, but do not know how to create a page for it.

WikiMime : A WikiMime is well-meaning editor that tries to mimic the edits of experienced editors onto pages that they frequent. They are often confused as WikiDragons or WikiOgres because of their penchant for making grandiose edits, and are sometimes driven away from the encyclopaedia because of their inability to properly convey their well-meaning changes. But if a WikiMime is given a proper mentor, it can learn to control its actions and becomes similar to a WikiEagle in its precision of spotting and removing errors.
