How can I remove "Retrieved on [date]" from citations? I used the Article Wizard. For some of the templates I put today's date in the "Access date" field which results in "Retrieved on [today's date]" in the citation. How can I remove that? Wayner27 (talk) 02:52, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When you edit the article, you should find code that looks like |accessdate=... Just remove that. I've done two as examples in this edit. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 03:35, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Reviewer, I am an exchange student from China recently study at University of Massachusetts, Boston. I study as a graduate at the American Studies Program. My name is Xiuyue Lu. It's very nice to talk to you.

Creating an article on wiki is an very important component of my American Popular Culture and Technology course. We are required to submit an article and analyse the audience's reception of the article. But since now the review is heavily blocked, I cannot get my article published on time. I really worries me. If I cannot publish it sooner, I cannot hand in a report which should due on mid-April.

Hope you can kindly help me! I really appreciate what you have done! I know you guys are all volunteers, I really admire your sacrifice and passion. Wish you all the best! Yours, Xiuyue Mindhunter333 (talk) 03:41, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have notified the Education Program about your problem - I hope they can help you. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 17:31, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have not resubmitted the article for review - in fact nobody has touched it at all since 19 October 2013 when the last review was done. There are no references at all, so where are these "Third party proofs"? We will not Google anything, we will not search for news and magazine article that you claim exist, we do not care about anything at the Hindi Wikipedia does. It is your responsibility to properly reference these sources that you claim exist. Please see Referencing for beginners for guidance. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 17:51, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Curious as to why my submission wasn't accepted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Courtneyscole (talkcontribs) 19:50, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Have you looked at the pink review box at the top of the page yet? The reason for the decline is explained there and there are also various links to pages that contain guidance on how to fix the problem. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 20:11, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Courtneyscole: First, presumably you are the same Courtney Cole that is the Executive Director at Missouri Senate Democrats? You already declared that you are the campaign manager for Paul LeVota, so you have a conflict of interest and you shouldn't be writing articles like these. Secondly, the article has no references at all which violates WP:CITE. If I were you, I would gather reliable sources and ask a disinterested third-party to write this article. Wikipedia is not here to help your campaign. Chris Troutman (talk) 21:03, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I understand why the submission has been declined this time. I checked the criteria of notability: - Added multiple references to huge websites such as Deadline.com, The Wrap, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. All of the websites are in the Top 5000 most visited websites in the world according to Alexa.com. The four articles used as references are specifically about the subject, three of them include photos of him and are 100% focused on his career. They are independent of the subject and reliable. - He played in "Harry Potter" and recently filmed one of the main characters of a feature directed by Ron Howard. Again, I proved this by adding references to reliable websites such as "The Independent".

I don't understand how he can still be considered as a "non-notable person". Thank you in advance for your clarification.

I'm going to accept this draft once some administrative work is taken care of. Thank you for your persistence. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:55, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
