Kevin Gorman (talk · contribs) I'm certainly quite interested in men's issues, and am concerned about Wikipedia's currently unbalanced coverage of them, as well as chronic representation of sources that seems to pop up in a lot of articles. One thing on my to-do list is greatly expanding our content related to rape and sexual assault in prison and its implications, something we currently have very little about. Needed articles

  • I would like to see the gender lifespan gap discussed: The historical changes. The state of scientific understanding. The effective large economic subsidy it creates for female pensions and health care for female retirees, due to the fact that men bear a disproportionate burden and receive a smaller benefit.
Providing some reliable sources would help get that off the ground.
  • Surplus males Selective abortion of females in some countries, higher survival rate of male infants in first world countries, and polygamy in some cultures leads to millions of "surplus males". They cannot find women to marry (especially since older, richer males marry younger females, including as second wives). They often engage in disruptive and even violent behavior, including in gangs. Through history some leaders may have and may yet start some wars in part to "cull" the males.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Carolmooredc (Talkie-Talkie) 20:41, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
See male Male expendability for some content on this topic. AndersThorseth (talk) 16:13, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
