Hello, I'm UY Scuti. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Kogalymavia Flight 9268— because it didn’t appear constructive to me.   Hello, I'm Hermionedidallthework. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Barbara L, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi I removed a strange template you left on this page. Please be careful when reviewing new articles. Thanks. Jane (talk) 13:17, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, My intention wasn't to promote a product, but I had to enter links in the references. Please specifically indicate which sentences to be deleted. Antonyroman

Not really advertisement, just not a neutral point of view. This sentence "Today he is known for his unusually sharp depictions of various parts of Amsterdam that no longer exist." Kabahaly (talk) 14:15, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ha! I am not Antonyroman, so I didn't put that there (and the Jacob Olie page is not a product). The photographer made unusually sharp photographs, and the places he photographed no longer exist. Is there something wrong with how I worded it that you see multiple issues? I am not sure how else to put it. He was not known for his photography during his lifetime, but becamse known for the nostalgic value of his photos. Maybe if you state your issues it would be clearer to me, because I don't see anything wrong with that sentence. Jane (talk) 18:51, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

You have twice tagged Star of Devon for poor grammar, but I can't see any problem at all can you enlighten me?Theroadislong (talk) 16:15, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've added two commas, and possibly there could be two more (around 'Devon'). It did work as it was, but I'm a stickler for commas. Peridon (talk) 18:16, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism?

edit

I can't see Oana Stoica Mujea as vandalism. Possibly promotional or not notable, as the title has been deleted on the Romanian Wikipedia twice (once each for those reasons so far as I can see), but not vandalism. It is in Romanian, not English, but we list articles in other languages at WP:PNT (unless we can see a clear problem that requires speedy deletion). You might see something there that I don't - if you have information about something that anyone else might not, or if there might be a language problem hiding something, please put a note on the talk page to explain this. It makes our lives easier... Peridon (talk) 18:13, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Help needed at DRN

edit

You are receiving this message because you are signed up as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard. We have a number of pending requests which need a volunteer to address them. Unless you are an inexperienced volunteer who is currently just watching DRN to learn our processes, please take a case. If you do not see yourself taking cases in the foreseeable future, please remove yourself from the volunteer list so that we can have a better idea of the size of our pool of volunteers; if you do see yourself taking cases, please watchlist the DRN page and keep an eye out to see if there are cases which are ready for a volunteer. We have recently had to refuse a number of cases because they were listed for days with no volunteer willing to take them, despite there being almost 150 volunteers listed on the volunteer page. DRN help needed and volunteer roll call

edit

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself on the list of volunteers at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteering#List of the DRN volunteers.

First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.

Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

Why would you remove ElectroYoga? It's a real word that is developing. If you don't like the links that were provided we could just remove them. I need to site examples of where the word was used to substantiate that it is a real word that is now being used. I am perfectly happy to leave out the examples of the word being used. Proposed deletion of /r/The Donald

edit

The article /r/The Donald has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I doubt this warrants having its own article at this point, and from what I can see, we don't even know for sure if Donald Trump is really involved or it's just satire.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:35, 30 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

For now, I'll do you a favor: I won't seek redress for your insulting, completely false claim that I vandalized that article. In return, would you please respond to the edit summary I left? I said, "This wasn't vandalism by a long shot. And what about the text you put in quotation marks even though it wasn't a direct quote?" Now that you've finally read it, you probably see the mistakes you made. If you revert me again, use a far, far better explanation than "Removing vandalism" because we don't like when people lie. RunnyAmigatalk 19:42, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

While I don't see your apology for your lie that I perpetrated vandalism, I appreciate that you seem to be working on less dishonest edit summaries. Of course, you're still putting unsourced text in quotation marks and removing text someone copied straight out of the New York Times by falsely calling it "unprofessional writing." (I assure you, the Times pays writers.) Am I going to have to go through every policy violation you commit one by one? Or can you just stop? RunnyAmigatalk 19:54, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Space Station 13. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection.
