well you can see that the last message was the last one. On the other hand, why did you use the word intimidation? Lecturing is what I was doing, I think. I know showing a person his bad side can intimidate him but was that what you were referring to? Franklin.vp 07:42, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
About SVG
I am producing some diagrams using LaTeX and I get the output in PDF format. I read that you have something about SVG in your page. Do you know how is the best way to convert it into SVG? I searched a bit but it is not clear to me how.

- I use Inkscape to produce my SVGs. If you export them as PDF, I think the PDF already contains the diagram as SVG. Try downloading Inkscape and open the PDF with it. ZooFari 01:28, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Joel Sherman photo
Thanks for your help! I don't deal with images often. I uploaded the photo under the wrong name, then re-uploaded under the name I'd intended to give it, and then floundered around for a while trying to figure out what to do about the first one. By the time I got my ducks in a row about the db-f1 template, you'd already handled it.
Yes, the one you tagged should certainly be deleted. JamesMLane t c 04:54, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, you can use {{db-f1|FILE NAME}} anytime there is a redundant file. You can also use {{db-g7}} for images you uploaded that you want deleted. Cheers, ZooFari 04:58, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
PDF to SVG
For some reason when I save the PDF from Inkscape to SVG the text loss the spacing. Also this image needs some margin but no idea how to do it. This is the image Franklin.vp 14:04, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Can you email me the PDF? I have yet to learn the extraction of SVGs... ZooFari 19:54, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, I got an SVG now. That is fine, when I upload it to wikipedia it displays some braces as black boxes and the text losses the spaces also. Franklin.vp 20:00, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Did you resolve it? It looks fine now. To prevent the black boxes from appearing on Wikipedia, select all the text using Inkscape, then go to the tool bar Text > Convert to text. That should resolve any text issues. As for the margins (or document size), that can be adjusted under File > Document properties. Let me know if there's any other issues that need to be resolved. ZooFari 20:17, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I could get this far. Still the text losses the spaces between words in wikipedia's view. In Inkscape it looks fine. Do you know why could this be? Franklin.vp 20:27, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'll show you step by step. First off, select absolutely everything (alternatively, use Edit > Select all). Then ungroup everything by selecting Object > Ungroup. Since you already fixed the margins, we don't have to worry much about that. Select the background (or the border that you inserted) and remove it. Reply to this message when done. Do not upload yet. - Okay, now select everything again and select Path > Object to path. Then save and try uploading again. There should be no rendering problems after than. I will then tag the image with a {{CleanSVG}} tag saying that it was processed through PDF and needs additional XML clean up. ZooFari 23:16, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

- All that was needed. Thanks! Now I can go to put the sketch of the proof in the article. Ehrm... can you pass the know-how? What did you do? Franklin.vp 23:35, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Object to paths. It probably didn't work for you because you did not ungroup everything. Select everything and hit "ungroup" until the status bar at the bottom of the interface says "No groups". Normally "Object to paths" is not good, but is needed for SVG behavior like this :-) ZooFari 23:39, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Orphanage
I was just in the process of writing you. Go to the article itself and touch the image, it's the same image with the same name. Somehow you're orphan-tagging images that have recently been renamed but are still used in articles. Maybe you're trying to delete the old name. Something's going on here. Just take a look, please. The images are still being used, were never removed, and are not orphans. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 04:32, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Can you please take a look at the blue triangle at Three pillars of the European Union. It appears as four lines in Firefox but a whole page in ie6. Maybe the entire diagram could be made into a straight up svg image? Nezzadar [SPEAK] 18:20, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- Looks like the blue triangle is the only error in this case. The diagram is okay, but if I were to make an SVG of the entire diagram, we wouldn't be able to link the pages. How about an SVG of just the blue triangle? ZooFari 22:49, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (File:World Scout Emblem 1920-1939.svg)
Thanks for uploading File:World Scout Emblem 1920-1939.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude ► 07:49, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Churchmanship
You changed "Tradition" parameter to "Churchmanship". Now, the value of the parameter I wrote, "[[:Category:Polish traditions|Polish]]" doesn't make sense. Is it possible to remove "[[:Category:Polish traditions|Polish]]" value from ALL parishes listed in Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England? Thank you. --WlaKom (talk) 21:25, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean particularly? The only thing I changed was the parameter name in the articles as requested, not the template itself. If it caused issues, than it must be something with the template which I wasn't responsible for. I may be able to fix it though, if you elaborate the problem. ZooFari 22:42, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

WCBS FM Logos
I but back up the logo gallery that was taken down by somone else without explnation. They are now back up on the CBS FM page. Will they still be removed? DLA75 (talk) 23:14, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Non-free content should not be in galleries. According to the fair-use rational, images must represent the article enough for the exception of Wikipedia-use. If they are in galleries, than editors will think they are not important and will probably remove them. I suggest you eliminate the least important ones, and keep the more important ones and place them in a relevant section. ZooFari 02:34, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

You've added Abstraction (computer science) to Wikipedia:WikiProject Java through the Articles with example Java code category, because that article includes some bits of Java code. WP Java tagging false positive
Function object is not Java-specific at all. If reply is necessary, do so or ping on my talk. --Cybercobra (talk) 04:22, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- It's under Category:Articles with example Java code which I notified the WikiProject about. If the WikiProject decides to eliminate those articles, than I'll run an AWB to remove them (removing them is much easier than preventing the tag). Thanks for the notice. ZooFari 04:26, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- Who says it needs to be Java specific? I put Comparison of Java and C++ in both C++ and Java WikiProjects as well. "Function object" is relevant to Java, and therefore relevant to WikiProject Java. Therefore it should be tagged. --Ysangkok (talk) 21:21, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- By that logic, every article on attributes of countries and every list of countries should have every country's WikiProject tag on its page, which is absurd. Mere vague relevance is not sufficient, it needs to be specific to the project (with respect to the WikiProject hierarchy), otherwise you're turning the WikiProject into a vaguely-defined taskforce of the broader WikiProject Computer Science and weakening the focus of WikiProject Java. --Cybercobra (talk) 03:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

- Actually, did you make it so that more blue boxes can go underneath the current one? It would be great since we can add some more tool links. ZooFari 21:39, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ah If you meant the dark blue bar then unfortunately you cannot place the {{shortcut}} template in anything because the template is designed to float to the right. It is possible but very long winded and not really worth doing to place it in the blue bar. Unless you meant the light blue bar, then it is possible look here: Category:Physical images that should be in SVG format.
- You can certainly add more boxes, but where did you mean? Captain n00dle T/C 21:50, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- I was thinking about more light blue boxes under the one that's already there (to fill up the empty space). The only issue is that we should keep the category pages as short and compressed as possible. ZooFari 21:53, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Under the light blue box on the right hand side? It depends how big that box will get, if it expands down to fill all the space then it wouldn't really. How many links will be in the light blue box on the right? Regards, 82.8.152.207 (talk) 22:01, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- (apologies, I signed out by accident Captain n00dle T/C 22:03, 15 November 2009 (UTC))
- Yes, that's what I was saying. It will be more than one box added (depending on the resources needed for the categories). The light blue box is stable and won't change width whatsoever. The height won't matter for the time being. ZooFari 22:05, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I'm slightly confused, the light blue box on the right hand size does change size e.g. here and here, so you can't put things underneath it. But you can put things under the left hand boxes (i.e. split the two boxes into three) Captain n00dle T/C 22:15, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it changes height but not width. However, after thinking about it, I think the light blue box should go inside the main box to conserve space. Then we could just add more content if needed by splitting the two sub-boxes underneath the main box. ZooFari 22:56, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Kingsway Garden Mall logo
Hi there,
I see that you have put File:Kingsway Garden Mall logo.png up for deletion. I am unfamiliar with the practice of what to do after a copyrighted logo has been replaced with a new one (File:Kingsway Mall logo.png). Does the file need to be deleted, or can it still be used on the article (Kingsway Mall) to show how the old logo looked? 117Avenue (talk) 03:59, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Is the old logo really important for the article? If the old logo was replaced by the new one, then I suppose editors of the article found the old image redundant. Since we can't have redundant non-free images, the old image is to be deleted. Let me know if this is the case, so the image can be deleted/de-orphaned. ZooFari 04:30, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
I guess my question is, is the non-free media use rationale enough for an out of date logo to be used? 117Avenue (talk) 21:31, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the warning. It'd been replaced by another image. Go on with the deletion. :) -iNu- (talk) 00:08, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Edit warring
There is no edit war. In fact the diff are misleading, he seems to be misleading in the fact that I moved the information, and that it is not removed from the article and the referts stooped after two. See this. Then he added it agian so, as I stated in the edit summery, the info didn't need to be repeated twice. Bugboy52.4 | =-= 10:35, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- So.. now can I put it back to the way it was... for the info should be? Bugboy52.4 | =-= 20:09, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Your DYK nomination
Hello! Your submission of Spring Peeper at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know!
Your opinion?
Do you think it would be a good idea to notify ppl when you update counts in their stead, like you did here? If I hadn't double-checked, we'd now be miscounting by one (quite why we don't have a bot for this job is beyond me anyway...). Papa Lima Whiskey (talk) 11:21, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- You mean right here? I thought I edit conflicted... ZooFari 16:45, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Are you still planning on putting this portal together? It looks rather empty... if you've given up on it, you may want to tag it for deletion. Zetawoof(ζ) 09:24, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
- I need to create an associated WikiProject first. I'll probably be getting into that late this year. Thanks for the notice, ZooFari 16:27, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Errror rate
I notice you have been tagging several in-use images as Orphaned and not enabling the part of Twinkle that tags the use of the image and the uploader of the deletion. Why? MBisanz talk 01:46, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know what function you're referring to. Would you mind giving some examples? ZooFari 02:01, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
File:Judgmentdaylogo.png
According to another admin, you were the one that tagged this image for deletion under the F5 criteria. Why? F5 is for fair-use images that aren't being used, this image has been used in the WWE Judgment Day article for several months. That means it clear does not fall under F5. TJ Spyke 01:46, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
- See this diff. If I'm not mistaken, I tagged the image prior to the date that the user in the diff replaced the file. ZooFari 01:53, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Just commenting here that I found your lightning like revert of my comment on Shake That Bear amazing. Then you undid it just as quickly even though, just like your note on my user page said, it was pretty unconstructive. But it manages to be a preemptive keep vote. 76.112.201.245 (talk) 04:43, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME PUT UP A COPYRIGHT TAG, OR EXPLAIN HOW I DO THAT. I HAVE NO IDEA. THANK YOU VERY MUCH Philades (talk) 18:48, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I am not the creator of the image, I found it at: http://www.opt.indiana.edu/riley/HomePage/Amsler_Grid/4TEXTamsler_grid.html It seems like it is a free image, I am just unsure as to how to put a copyright tag on it. Philades (talk) 19:06, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
