2009 county maps

edit

I have added a comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK geography/2009 local government structural changes task force. I notice that you previously made changes to Template:Infobox UK place/local to add some maps, and I wondered if you could help with the 2009 changes. Thanks. Sheffield Wikipedia Book

edit

Hello Warofdreams,

Sorry, - I hadn't noticed you'd already prepared a Sheffield "Wikipedia Book" back in February. - Any comments/suggestions regarding my attempt (April 09) would be much appreciated. Wikipedia:Books/Sheffield_UK

PS Did you manage to generate a PDF or Open Office version? (I didn't, .... - only the paid PediaPrint version seemed to work).

Hello Warofdreams, I'm pretty sure the above article is a recreation of previously deleted material - could you check that as I don't want to speedy it until I'm sure? Thanks, Valenciano (talk) 15:02, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anarchist Federation (U.S.)

edit

Greetings, Warofdreams. In 2004 you created an article entitled Anarchist Federation (U.S.). Some recent discourse on anarchist forums have brought the organization's existence into question, and as the editor who created the article, I am hoping you could shed some light into the source from which you learned of this group. If you would please, we are currently hosting a thread on the subject at the Anarchist Task Force talk page. We'd really appreciate it if you could drop a line there and help us out. Thank you. --Cast (talk) 03:59, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pardon, there is also a discussion on the Anarchist Federation (U.S.) talk page. It may be best to centralize the discussion there, so please consider focusing your response on that talk page. Thank you again. --Cast (talk) 04:07, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Apology

edit

I owe you an apology. I have reverted vandalism to the article "Premiership of Gordon Brown". By mistake I gave the edit summary "Revert vandalism by Warofdreams": of course you were not the vandal. I had several pages open at once and copied the user name from the wrong one. Perhaps as an administrator you are able to remove the error, but in any case I hope you can accept my apology. EjsBot

edit

Hi! Could you remove the bot flag from EjsBot? I have lost the password for that account (the password lies only on a hard drive that broke down), and I hadn't set the email address for it. –Finlux (talk) 15:51, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Questions re. Name Changes

edit

Hi, I am considering submitting a request to change my username, and I had a few questions about it.

  1. Will my talk page, my userpage, and any subpages I have be moved to my new username along with the history, or will I have to recreate them?
  2. I read that my contributions might not show up for a few days. But after a few days, I will get them all back exactly the way the were before, right?
  3. If I'm looking at the history of a page I have edited, will my name in the history tab be changed to my new name automatically or will it show my old username?

Thanks! Δnnuit Cœptis 21:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of UK Community Issues Party and others

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are UK Community Issues Party, Local Community Party, Free Party (UK), Tatton Group, Reform 2000 Party. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/UK Community Issues Party (3rd nomination) for UK Community Issues Party, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Local Community Party for Local Community Party, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Free Party (UK) for Free Party (UK), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tatton Group for Tatton Group, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Reform 2000 Party for Reform 2000 Party. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:24, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

1999 Eurocandidates

edit

Thanks for adding these to the pages. I was just yesterday thinking that it would be a sad loss of information if we deleted this year's unsuccessful candidates after the election, to match what seemed to be the standard format- thanks for breaking the mould. PamD (talk) 11:09, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks also from me for adding the detail, but have you got any references for the list of candidates for Yorkshire and the Humber (European Parliament constituency) that you added for 1999 & 2004? The reference in the article only covers the winners for 2004. Keith D (talk) 12:28, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Found, and added, refs for candidates lists 1999 and 2004. PamD (talk) 16:59, 4 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

United Kingdom local elections, 2010

edit

Hey. I know it's a while off but I've created the 2010 local elections article now. With most of these elections being comparable with those fought in 2006, I went there assuming we'd have a good enough template to borrow and copy but, alas, no. If you go to www.vote-2007.co.uk, there's forums showing just how many elections are being fought, so it'll be a big ask to create tables a plenty, but I thought better to get it out there (the US elections articles go on for almost a decade, lol)... doktorb wordsdeeds 17:15, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oreet. They'll be a help :) I'll try and get the London Boroughs in alphabetical order but will need to check who controls where. We've got long enough to think about it ;) doktorb wordsdeeds 19:32, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
