Season's Greetings

  Season's Greetings

When he took up his hat to go, he gave one long look round the library. Then he turned ... (and Saxon took advantage of this to wag his way in and join the party), and said, "It's a rare privilege, the free entry of a book chamber like this. I'm hoping ... that you are not insensible of it."

(Text on page 17 illustrated in the frontispiece in Juliana Horatia Ewing's Mary's Meadow and Other Tales of Fields and Flowers, illustrated by Mary Wheelhouse, London: G. Bell and Sons, 1915.)

I need your help

edit

Hi @Toddy1,

1) I am a good faith editor whose start on Wikipedia might have been not that good but I am getting better and now editing the space in good faith.

2) The enforcement started as a retaliation as mentioned by me in the discussion here.

3) I have edited on Wikipedia and in the past month, we can not find a single instance where I indulged in vandalism or POV pushes as mentioned in the enforcement.

I request you to please change your opinion and kindly give me a chance to work further on the platform.

Note: I am currently undergoing my semester exams in university till 15th jan, might not respond swiftly. I respect your fair-mindedness and have a good faith that you will take side of Justice.

Thank You ! PPicazHist (talk) 08:13, 8 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure that you understand what "good faith" means; it is the opposite of bad faith (there is an article explaining what "bad faith" means).
I do not know whether (2) was started as retaliation. But it does not matter anymore whether it was or was not. See WP:STICK.
If the aim was to victimise you for your political views, it failed. A success would have been a topic ban or an indefinite block from editing Wikipedia. Admins evaluated the complaint against you with complete fairness, and did not victimise you. Instead they chose a solution to the problems reported that will enable you to develop your editing skills by creating and editing draft articles, and to learn how to evaluate sources correctly, and then return you to editing mainspace. This was very much a win for you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 13:49, 8 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Help me

If I have problems on the Spanish Wikipedia with an administrator who blocks Wikipedia and IRC without reason, what can I do? Who can I contact or how can I report him? GokuJuan (talk) 05:22, 11 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

what can I do?
Edit English-language Wikipedia. But do not make the same mistakes that you made on Spanish-language Wikipedia.
If you do a good job editing articles on English-language Wikipedia for a year, this will be evidence that you are capable of making significant and useful contributions to Wikipedia. You could then apply for what in English-language Wikipedia is called the standard offer (I expect they have something similar on Spanish-language Wikipedia). But you may find that after editing English-language Wikipedia for a year that you prefer it here anyway.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:55, 11 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
No thank u
No, thank you very much, my friend. I prefer to only edit in my language and contribute to my language. If they unblock me from Wikipedia in Spanish, I can do it since I wrote several articles that need improvement, but since I'm blocked, I can't do anything. Who can I ask for help with that? They even blocked my discussion page. I can't ask for unblocking... GokuJuan (talk) 09:12, 11 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Your position is like someone who is sick and needs an operation to make them well, but refuses to go to hospital for the operation, because they want a doctor like the one in Star Trek who can make them well instantly.
If you want to be unblocked, you have to learn how to edit Wikipedia without breaking the rules. If you are not willing to do that, there is no hope for you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:43, 11 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Friend, I only broke a rule out of ignorance, it was not on purpose, and I have not seen Startrek, you have not seen my contributions, you cannot have an opinion about the fact that I do not know how to do it, you are exaggerating, and your position is to criticize without offering any solution or help… GokuJuan (talk) 01:52, 12 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
