Nevermind. I just checked and Splatoon 3's has been added to prep area 7. There's a concern about Motorfest's because it's unreleased and all the sources are mostly using the vendor as a source, however the game being unreleased hasn't been an issue before considering Need for Speed Unbound was promoted to the main page before it was released (game released on December 2, 2022, appeared on the main page on October 29, 2022) ― Blaze Wolf^Talk_{Blaze Wolf#6545} 13:26, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

THere's not really much I can do about the sources since the sources can't really do anything but use the vendor as a source since they don't have access to the game and if they do then creating an article about it would violate the NDA you have to sign so they wouldn't really be able to post anything after that. ― Blaze Wolf^Talk_{Blaze Wolf#6545} 17:51, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi Tails, the article was send to draft when I was in middle of maintenance code error. All official authentic website links added. It is produced by small production house Lasercat Studio, hence their official group is in social media. However it is networked by big network TRUE 4U, their website announcement added. Official MV in YouTube added, as music videos appears there. Thai news articles speaking of the series added. Made few corrections wherever necessary already.

Hi, BrightsForever! There seems to be a possibility that the draft can pass WP:NFILM guidelines, but it needs work. First off, I don't think those YouTube sources are needed–I'd remove them. Second, there's lots of formatting issues, the sources need to go after the punctuations, and third, I think there are more reliable sources out there–feel free to add them! Hope this helps! According to the cite highlighter, there's a lot of red on the draft! This means they are unreliable, and I would like to point out that Facebook is general unreliable, though the official Facebook page of the subject can be used as a primary source! Though there's a lot of them; maybe I'd consider removing some of them, and you can also read WP:FACEBOOK for more details! Tails Wx 04:07, 24 March 2023 (UTC)

Well in this case I recognized the IP as one I had just been communicating (or I guess talking to a living, breathing, brick wall) about WP:NOTAFORUM and also their links were a purpley color so I knew they were probably creating a post about me. Hi, TommyJamesMcMaster! First off, if you are paid to create the article or have a conflict of interest, you must declare or disclose it. Otherwise, I have a few suggestions:

• Source 1 seems like it only contains a passing mention, can you replace it with a reliable source that contains significant coverage?
• Source 5 is a YouTube source, which is generally unreliable, can you find a more reliable source?

Also, I sense that the draft is a bit in a promotional tone, I'd change that as well! That's all I gotta say right now! Tails Wx 17:56, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

• The system for automatically creating categories for the Babel extension has had several important changes and fixes. One of them allows you to insert templates for automatic category descriptions on creation, allowing you to categorize the new categories. [6][7][8][9][10]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 4 April. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 5 April. It will be on all wikis from 6 April (calendar).
• Some older Web browsers will stop being able to use JavaScript on Wikimedia wikis from this week. This mainly affects users of Internet Explorer 11. If you have an old web browser on your computer you can try to upgrade to a newer version. [11]
• The deprecated jquery.hoverIntent module has been removed. This module could be used by gadgets and user scripts, to create an artificial delay in how JavaScript responds to a hover event. Gadgets and user scripts should now use jQuery hover() or on() instead. Examples can be found in the migration guide. [12]
• Some of the links in Special:SpecialPages will be re-arranged. There will be a clearer separation between links that relate to all users, and links related to your own user account. [13]
• You will be able to hide the Reply button in archived discussion pages with a new __ARCHIVEDTALK__ magic word. There will also be a new .mw-archivedtalk CSS class for hiding the Reply button in individual sections on a page. [14][15][16]

Future changes

• The Vega software that creates data visualizations in pages, such as graphs, will be upgraded to the newest version in the future. Graphs that still use the very old version 1.5 syntax may stop working properly. Most existing uses have been found and updated, but you can help to check, and to update any local documentation. Examples of how to find and fix these graphs are available.

April 4 tornado outbreak

Hello! I just wanted to say that the April 4th tornado outbreak draft (Draft:Tornado outbreak of April 4, 2023)actually lasted until the 5th, and I've made some small improvements.

Hi, VisiblityGale! Thanks for the improvements. However, when I created the draft, I expected it to be a widespread and significant tornado outbreak. However (again), it turned out to be small, but it had significant tornadoes along with it, though it wasn't a big tornado outbreak. The EF3 was significant in Lewistown, Illinois, but the rest of the draft can be redirected/merged to the Tornadoes of 2023#April 4–5. This is mainly due to the CAPE holding on and prevented a large tornado outbreak like March 31. Thanks for the contributions to the draft, though! Tails Wx 18:37, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Recent changes

• You can now see nearby articles on a Kartographer map with the button for the new feature "Show nearby articles". Six wikis have been testing this feature since October. [22][23]
• The Special:GlobalWatchlist page now has links for "mark page as read" for each entry. This feature request was voted #161 in the 2023 Community Wishlist Survey. [24]

Problems

• At Wikimedia Commons, some thumbnails have not been getting replaced correctly after a new version of the image is uploaded. This should be fixed later this week. [25][26]
• For the last few weeks, some external tools had inconsistent problems with logging-in with OAuth. This has now been fixed. [27]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 18 April. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 19 April. It will be on all wikis from 20 April (calendar).

Oh. What happened was, one of our lost chickens, a young Rhode Island Red disappeared while being attacked by a predator (a raccoon, most likely), and our fish suffered from poor water conditions, sadly. The Rhode Island Red was acting quite strange prior to that incident, as she actually flew up into one of the high trees, so I had to go and rescue her. Tails Wx 13:32, 19 April 2023 (UTC)
