Disambiguation link notification for August 8
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Basketball at the 2020 Summer Olympics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tina Charles. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at 2020 Summer Olympics medal table. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Evan Lysacek, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Per project consensus, the decision was made to remove the World Team Trophy from skaters’ infoboxes. Please do not add that information again. Bgsu98 (Talk) 06:50, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Adding Notes in the medal tables
edit- United States at the Olympics
- United States at the Winter Olympics
- Japan at the Olympics
- United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics
- Japan at the 2022 Winter Olympics
In my last edits I removed notes in the medal table that were probably added by you. I want to point out that this is not common practice for these tables. Numerous notes about reallocation or stripped medals (if all were included) would severely clutter the tables. Before changing the current practice, I would suggest that you first discuss this in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Olympics for an consensus, as this would mean a major intervention that would affect numerous articles (see: List of stripped Olympic medals and e.g.2012 Summer Olympics medal table#Changes in medal standings). A tag has been placed on File:2024 United States Olympic track and field trials logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 11:55, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:2023 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.png
editThanks for uploading File:2023 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:08, 12 July 2024 (UTC)

editI saw your continued edition of this nickname to Template:Footer USA Gymnastics 2024 Summer Olympics. I agree that the team/media has landed on that (as well as the previous FAFO one?), but unsure on longevity. Hello, Stevencocoboy. I noticed that your recent edit to U-12 Baseball World Cup added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 06:30, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Meryl Streep. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:23, 18 September 2024 (UTC)

The article Dimitry Tsarevski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NSKATE.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bgsu98 (Talk) 01:32, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries when working in the mainspace
editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at United States women's national under-17 soccer team. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Demt1298 (talk) 02:56, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

Better source request for File:IIHF World Women's Championship.png
editThanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13

Please use edit summaries
Thanks! Flibirigit (talk) 15:17, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- When making substantial edits such as changes to United States men's national ice hockey team, please explain what you are doing to help other editors understand the edit. When large amounts of information are deleted or relocated, it is essential to communicate why. Best wishes. Flibirigit (talk) 15:29, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Academy Awards. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
CodeTalker (talk) 02:22, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Template:U.S. Figure Skating Championships shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree.
Do not keep reverting Template:U.S. Figure Skating Championships
editYou have reverted so many times already... well past the limit. You will get blocked with more reverts so please stop. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:02, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Self-revert or I WILL report you, and you will get blocked. Take it to talk. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:04, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- You are also dangerously close to being blocked for your edits at U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Remember it doesn't matter if you are right, you have to convince people at the talk page you are right. Otherwise four reverts and you are blocked. Your talk page for December is littered with warnings... I'm amazed you haven't been blocked yet, but it will happen if you continue on this path. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:22, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
