Hi Staceydolxx, we're looking to finalise numbers and I just wanted to confirm that you're still interested in attending the event on 23-24th February? Thanks, Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 20:11, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Absolutely, though as previously mentioned, I'm not a huge Wikipedia editor so I am happy for others who have more knowledge to be given priority. Thanks very much, Staceydolxx (talk) 20:18, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. As 18 people have registered their interest and there's only space for 12 we're in the process of chasing up who can come and who will need accommodation (arranged by Wikimedia UK). Would you need accommodation? Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 12:08, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

DYK review of Health and Morals of Apprentices Act 1802
Hey, Staceydolxx! I'm reviewing your article's DYK submission, and I think it's a great article with an excellent hook, and it's really close to being ready. I've just found a few copyediting issues (run-on sentences, missing punctuation, and the like) that should be ironed out. WormTT and I have both done copyediting sweeps on it, fixing the problems we've found, so if you can just take a quick look at it and fix anything you see (and say that you've done so on the nomination page), I think we'll be good to go. Thanks! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 13:24, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Stacey. The first thing I'm going to do with the article is fix what's there, such as convert bare references to the proper citation format, and fix mechanics and then we'll expand. How does that sound? Happy editing. WorldTraveller101BreaksFixes 18:28, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

adoption in the United Kingdom - controversial article
Hi Stacey. Given your recent DYK, I wondered if you were aware of the rather controversial article Forced adoption in the United Kingdom? Might be of interest - after all, everyone loves a controversial article, right? :) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 19:45, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't believe you could be so cruel. I HAVE to look at it now someone thinks I might be able to help! Its like getting a compliment at the same time as being hit in the face with a trout. You are mean... I will try deal with it... ツStacey (talk) 19:50, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Don't feel you have to fix it all at once! It is quite... problematic. Used to be worse though... --Demiurge1000 (talk) 19:52, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- I have one of my Social Worker Law books out.. It doesn't really match the article at all. Bugger. I will have a go at it. It will be nice to have other people who read and care about the articles I write. For the first time the other day, the Children Act 1989 article was vandalised.. I was surprised at how long it survived without any vandalism! Thanks (I think) for letting me know about this problematic article! ツStacey (talk) 19:58, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Bigger issue.. there is no Adoption in the United Kingdom article.. I think maybe that should be written and then a section on "Forced Adoption" (a term that I haven't really come across).. ツStacey (talk) 20:03, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Arrrghhhhh! Adoption Act 2002 does exist.. AHhhhhhHHhhHhhhhh.. What have you started.. (P.S. If I write lots on my talk about about how much there is to do.. does this go any way to contributing to an article? Maybe not.. But arrghhhh where do I start?!) ツStacey (talk) 21:24, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Start at Adoption in the United Kingdom. You may need to create that article, and you may need to merge or AfD other WP:POV articles, either bringing their content into that article or just removing their content entirely. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 23:31, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Lucy Deane Streatfeild, pioneering female factory inspector, social worker, confounder of slanderous rumours, etc
Hi Stacey! You might be interested in the article Lucy Deane Streatfeild - a person of some importance in the struggle for all manner of things in the late 19th / early 20th century, but someone about whom detailed sources are quite tricky to find. User:nonsenseferret wrote the article after seeing the BBC4 programme trailed in this BBC News article, though the programme itself apparently doesn't have much more than is already in the Wikipedia article. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:35, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

I will not try to stop you doing something very strange, but please find a different edit summary, "fixing" sounds like it was broken, it was not. I have a lot of these articles on my watch list, it hurts, every time. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:06, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm concerned you are coming to my talk page and complaining rather than helping to correct an issue you identified? ツStacey (talk) 11:10, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- P.S. It was you who used the word 'fixing' on the talk page.. which was why I started this extremely boring task (in an attempt to assist). You have now hurt me with your words as I was intending to help YOU and have got no thanks only criticism. ツStacey (talk) 11:21, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Gerda, the links are "broken". They're linking to the wrong page, since the rename. Stacey, thank you for putting the time in to fix these links. WormTT(talk) 11:20, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Stacey, I am sorry that you feel hurt, that was not intended, - I just hoped you would find a gentler wording for what you think you have to do. - The rename was not a "consensus" (as I understand it, and I was not first one to say so, see the talk), came rather soon and suddenly (overnight for me, other move discussions I remember were open much longer) and should have been prepared by changing those links BEFORE a move. - I know how boring the task is, do it a lot myself (Halle, Gächinger Kantorei, Folkwang - first Academy, then University), - but to help with something I feel is wrong is asking a bit too much. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:37, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

04:52:39, 28 January 2015 review of submission by 59.162.55.134
59.162.55.134 (talk) 04:52, 28 January 2015 (UTC) Kindly let us know specifically what more we should do to make the article acceptable. Nupurchhanda Ghosh is the only singer in Bengal at present who specializes in songs of Atulprosad, Rajanikanto and Dwijendralal. She is also an authority on these poets and has penned two biographies which have been favorably accepted by the discerning readers. Numerous references of her are available through Google. Kindly let us know whether you are looking to increase these references.
- Hello, I'm glad you are still wanting to pursue editing this article. I understand your points that she is unique though none of the references (that I could find) state that. Everything on an article about a living person should be directly cited: Have a look at Becky Want; each point should be referenced and unfortunately that isn't the case for the Draft:Nupurchhanda_Ghosh. Without being able to find written proof that she is notable, I was unable to approve this article for creation. If you can get a list of references for every point, let me know and I will help you format it for the article. ツStacey (talk) 11:56, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello,

Ernest Element
Hi Please can you confirm why the citations are not valid enough for this article one of them is from a national UK newspaper 151.228.47.102 (talk) 20:25, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, I appreciate you coming to my talk page to ask. Unfortunately, the Independent news page only mentions Ernest in passing and he is not the focus of the article. The BBC link, again, is not detailed coverage of Ernest. The Guardian newspaper I cannot access - is this the one you are referring to? Does this mention him in more detail? ツStacey (talk) 20:34, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Hi Stacey, thank you for responding so quickly, the Guardian piece is in hard copy only as they have not updated their obituaries that far back yet, if you search for him on wikipedia he is mentioned in two other articles but as you mention only in passing. The BBC have at last updated their previous records of the radio times see (http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/search/0/20?adv=0&q=the+element+quartet&media=all&yf=1923&yt=2009&mf=1&mt=12&tf=00%3A00&tt=00%3A00#search), he used to be on the BBC radio weekly at one point and is contained in all of the old paper versions of the radio times. There is also a CD which can be purchased which was released by the Element Quartet which I can provide a link to if that would help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.228.47.102 (talk) 19:02, 21 February 2015 (UTC)
AGF
Hi Staceydolxx, I'm assuming you've edited this article in good faith. Please can you do likewise...as I currently feel under pressure to justify my edits:
- I (and others) have presented evidence about a related set of undisclosed paid editors (COI) editors at WP:COIN, WP:ANI and sock/meat investigations. Some of the accounts even have on-wiki messages about payments, have the same account name on external paid contracting sites (which we are not allowed to OUT). **Accounts have been blocked.
- I believe I am WP:DGF by my edits/actions (which I believe are all guideline based), but yes it is a fine line to tread especially as almost all of the accounts are new per WP:BITE.
If I understand you correctly, you're assuming my motivation is that I'm in some sort of dispute (edit dispute?) with this one editor (out of a hundred or so of the COI/WP:SOCKfarm accounts). Which dispute is that?
- When you say "I try to create content, not destroy it.". Others may see that as a false dichotomy, result in improvements. WP:OWN. "did very little research" - we're talking cross purposes - have you seen how much I've put into the COIN evidence?
- We both believe in our edits, so what's the compromise? Widefox; talk 01:12, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Wow. That is a lot more jargon and an awful lot of reading for me to do to make sense of it. I feel you have become so intent on finding 'paid editors' that you are neglecting the content of Wikipedia (for example, you had not read the article concerned before adding tags all over it). Looking at some of your edits it seems you are upsetting an awful lot of potential new users with the accusation of being a 'paid editor'. Unbelievably, people enjoy writing about the things they are passionate about and possibly have some association with (for example, the town they live in; the places they visit; the books they read; the people they have seen perform). As for your accusation about me trying to OWN the article: It would seem you either tar everyone with 'paid editor' or trying to OWN the article - It may be shocking to you, but I am just trying to improve the encyclopaedia! All I am asking is for you to view each article on its own merits - If it is violating any of your long list of policies please do follow the correct procedure - Tags at the top of articles are not helpful when you have banned/ accused anyone who tries to work on it. ツStacey (talk) 10:55, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Being critical / patrolling of a new (and we agree borderline) article by a paid editor is my choice to improve WP. You have chosen to nurture it. All good. In your pursuit, it may be productive if you showed me diffs of the things you've accusing me of. Until then I have no way of knowing what edits you're referring to and no way of defending myself which is not a nice position. Feel free to take to some forum on here for others to see. (For the COI editor, I have provided evidence for the accusations, and User:Logical Cowboy also seems to concur.) Even then, we are required to assume good faith (even if I look like I deletionist / biter to you currently). If you find these edits intolerable, then checkout some of the other edits by other editors who give their time playing whack-a-mole to help minimise the impact of paid editing here. Widefox; talk 12:21, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Widefox. You may, or may not, have come across me - I'm Dave, good to meet you. I'll also point out upfront that Stacey is my partner and I've actively encouraged her to start editing. I, personally, think she's doing a rather good job, but hey - I'm going to be biased.
- Now, I've been watching this debate, and I thought it might be a good time for me to step in. I'm quite surprised about some of the links you've been using, in a style which seems to be designed to baffle a new user. For example, I've seen absolutely no evidence of WP:OWNership of the article in question, it appears to me that Stacey is taking an active interest in an article that she reviewed. If only all our reviewers were so thoughtful. Accusations of OWN is far beyond the assumption of good faith, you yourself are calling for.
- I do wonder if you've become rather jaded through seeing quite so many problematic editors/articles. I know that feeling. I should remind you though, that the paid editing change to the ToU is actually quite new (June 2014). Furthermore, it only refers to paid editing, not CoI editing, so using the terms interchangeably can lead to quite a lot of confusion. I should point out my personal stance on CoI editing - that as long as the writing follows Wikipedia policies (i.e. Neutral and well sourced) I take no issue with it. Articles which need CoI tags should only need one until someone goes through and looks over the content for promotional writing (including checking the sources to see whether there are any less positive areas which need addition) - I believe Stacey has done this.
- I've looked into the evidence you (and User:Logical Cowboy) posted on CoIN and SPI and I'm not surprised that little has come of it, it's a mess. I am aware that it will actually be a mess, but the conflation of all the cases and the lack of structure to the information is only going to mean that the information is rejected. I've worked in checkuser, I've seen sockfarms, I know what it can be like. However, expecting the community to subscribe to your conclusions when they haven't been well presented is difficult. Looking at it, it doesn't appear to be a sockfarm, it appears to be a freelance site which can lead to a few different sock farms / meat puppetry and also individual editors who get caught in the cross fire. Have you considered you might be a little overzealous in tagging the accounts and articles? It certainly looks that way to me. WormTT(talk) 13:21, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi WTT. Don't know if we've met before. Hindsight is easy! I started by replying to an editor concerned about a COI. A big chain of editors. You can see that in the end I was actually encouraged to go further by an admin (DGG if I remember) but you'll see I stepped back due to the scale, lack of other admin appetite and deleted edits making it impossible for non-admins. I don't know of a single falsely accused editor. If you suspect any, tell me (on my talk). I've been taken to ANI at least once (by a now blocked editor) and not admonished, in fact there was an acknowledgement of a large good faith effort and some cautionary wise words.
- I've cut my full reply as clearly we are all good faith editors on this page, and just coming at this from very different valid angles. As long as questioning my intentions or motivations is not repeated again without presenting evidence, and clear now, there's no point in me labouring the point about AGF, who can edit an article and feeling forced to defend myself where not constructive. I have to say, I admire User:Logical Cowboy for persisting. Widefox; talk 01:09, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Andrew Dallmeyer, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gavin Mitchell, The Herald and David Todd. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. - @Gerda Arendt: Everyone can become a bit of a monster sometimes (I'm getting myself in a few squabbles too) but its only Wikipedia at the end of the day :) Me and Dave are currently battling against the contradiction tags on articles and I need your help. As I have no knowledge at all in this area and cannot identify the contradiction or understand any of it! Can you please have a look Prelude in C minor (Rachmaninoff) ツStacey (talk) 15:57, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- As for monster, I made a Halloween box ;) - My behaviour can be seen on Joseph (opera): I don't believe I am fighting there, - I only asked a question. (The opera is the only one of the nineteen infoboxes reverted in 2013 which is again reverted. I will proclaim 2016 as the year of the reader.) - I looked at the prelude and would tag it differently: article uses too specialized language for the average reader, - such as me. How is that encyclopedic? When and for whom did the composer write the piece, why, performed when by whom? All missing. Who needs the detail of musical analysis, even if not contradicting? - Check out my laughing Christmas cantata and tell me if it's understandable. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:20, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Ways to improve Life Story Work
Hi, I'm Op47. Staceydolxx, thanks for creating Life Story Work!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I put a reorganise tag on this article, I felt that the order of paragraphs was not quite right i.e. something needs to come before Preparing and Planning. Also is Life Story Work a brand name or is it a generic term?
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Restaurants in Wales
When I was digging around with Michelin star restaurant articles a fair bit a couple of years ago, I tracked down in archive.org a copy of a listing of all of the Michelin stars for the UK handed out from 1974 (when they were first given out here) to 2012 - so I thought you might find the Welsh listing useful for your new list: here. - I was trying to hide from that article.. I have done it and now its left for everyone else! Haha, it was very dull; we are just in this for user:Dr. Blofeld's cakes! Thanks very much though, I will have a look and check I have included them all - there isn't many so it shouldn't be too hard. Thank you ツStacey (talk) 11:24, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- I may yet throw in a bonus for getting List of restaurants in Wales to FL status, we'll see!♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:26, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
