Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kyle Walker. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 19:00, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Danny Murphy (footballer, born 1977), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 20:37, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:59, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please can my block be changed from an indefinite ban, I promise to never vandalise Wikipedia ever again. Southgateyourthe1 (talk) 08:56, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

some of my edits were not vandalism and were correct information. Phil Neville told me he sleeps in an Everton kit, and every single time Danny Murphy has said Cody Gakpo’s name he has said it wrong Southgateyourthe1 (talk) 08:56, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

We aren't interested in what people have told you personally. See WP:NOR. Yamla (talk) 11:50, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am genuinely sorry for my actions, can my ban be changed to be a temporary ban instead of an indefinite one Southgateyourthe1 (talk) 12:22, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 17:01, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Blocks are not punitive, but preventative, so blocks exist only as long as needed to protect the encyclopedia. In order for you to edit again, an administrator has to have confidence that you understand what you did that was against the rules of English Wikipedia, that you understand why those policies/guidelines exist, and how you will edit in the future in order to benefit the encyclopedia. There's no purpose in simply blocking your account for X days, leaving the possibility you just wait out the block and return to your pattern of posting. And, sadly, your posting pattern has been abysmal so far; every edit you have made has had to be reverted for one reason or another, and multiple edits have had to be completely suppressed because they were so egregious. Given how explicit the vandalism is, I think it's unlikely that a simple promise will convince anyone. You should read WP:OFFER and edit another project such as Simple English Wikipedia constructively for long enough that you can present a convincing argument that you're not simply here to commit vandalism.
