My RfA
editThank you for your participation at my RfA, which passed with a count of (166/43/7). I appreciate your comments and in my actions as an administrator I will endeavor to act in ways that earn your full confidence, even though I don't have it now. Cirt (talk) 01:29, 16 September 2008 (UTC) |
Fringe Pilot AfD
editDue to the seeming confusion over the AfD caused by the two different articles, and the merging of the two into one, I have withdrawn the original AfD and nominated the single article for AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pilot (Fringe). As someone who commented on the original, I wanted to alert you to the new AfD so you can revisit and state your position on this single article. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 15:51, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. seresin ( ¡? ) 23:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Makuta (Bionicle)
editOk, I have an argument against this article's deletion. I will say it here until someone actiually lists it at AFDs.
1. Though I doubt the fact that this article meets notability (which, contrary to popular belief, is not actiually a policy, and therefore is not full justification), it is something someone would look up. Someone wanting to know what a Bionicle Makuta was aren't going to go to the virtually unknown Bionicle Wiki, they're going to go to their good friend Wikipedia. 2. The article that I split this from (Characters and groups in Bionicle) was just getting to long. 3. I notice that the warning states that it is underly verifiable. Well, it does have plenty of source, but for some reason anything on the citations beyond the little numbers won't show up, and I'm not a wiki-formating geek (no "references" section magically appeared). 4. Notability is not a policy, it's a guideline. It's not the word of god.
I will delete the template on the page. If you want to take this to the AFDs, I'm fine with that. [[User:Tutthoth-Ankhre|Tutthoth-Ankhre~ The Pharaoh of the Universe]] (talk) 23:33, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Just delete it, please.
editWill please just delete Makuta (Bionicle), I mean, I know it's going to end up that way, so you should just get rid of it. [[User:Tutthoth-Ankhre|Tutthoth-Ankhre~ The Pharaoh of the Universe]] (talk) 13:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Talent6
editHi Seresin, I'm so happy to finally come across your talk page. I was hoping you could help me out with getting the Talent6 page posted. You commented in "my contributions" that the page didn't list enough information giving the company importance. Talent6 is actually a reward recipient to the Web Award 2008 for the Entertainment Standard of Excellence, Online Community Standard of Excellence. This can even be verified by Wikipedia as an international web competition. "http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/WebAwards" and also at "http://www.webaward.org/winners_result.asp" . What should my next step be to prevent speedy deletion? Thank you again for your help.Igorreiant (talk) 22:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Seresin. Thank you so much for your quick response. I understand what you said about finding more notable references and resources. I'm currently in the process of gathering that information for you. Did connecting the WebAward wikipedia link help my chances in any way? As you suggested, I want to put this blurb in the "subpage" section of Wikipedia until all content is complete, but I can't find where it is. Can you help me with this? Where is the parentpage to post the subpage? I'm sorry but this Wikipedia site has got me spinning in loops here. I can't seem to find anything.Igorreiant (talk) 22:58, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again. Thanks for providing me with a link to the subpage. You rock! Ok, so I think I have the page set up according to what I think will meet your requirements. Can you take a look at it? I can post it to the main page but want to avoid speedy deletion a second time. Also, maybe you can help me with something, I was looking at "http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/4INFO" and that company only lists their own links. Since the Talent6 page lists an outside source/ reliable source, all should be good right? What's the next step from here?
- It's Friday today and I won't be looking at this until Monday unless I hear back from you right away but I am not expecting this, of course. Will the weekend affect the time I'm allowed to post content in the subpage? Thanks so much! Igorreiant (talk) 18:33, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
