Adding copy edit tag to History of Rijeka
editI copy edited History of Rijeka in May of this year, and you've just added another copy edit tag. Could you explain what you found wrong with the article? Dhtwiki (talk) 05:27, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry; it was listed on Beland's database report, and I noticed that the lead was five paragraphs long (according to the MOS, an article's lead section shouldn't exceed four paragraphs). "Transmited" is probably a typo, but it may have been added after the copyedit. I've removed the tag. Miniapolis 13:31, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Dhtwiki: In addition to "transmited", "interpretions" was detected as a misspelling, and there was a missing space after a comma. I fixed those so this article will stop being on the "copyedit candidate" report. The system also flagged two words that look like they are not English, which will show up on Typo Team reports until tagged. There were five instances of "gubernium", for which we could probably use the English word "governorate" instead. I don't know what language "gubernium" is from, but if we want to keep one instance for reference, it should be tagged with {{lang}} once we figure that out. There was one instance of the word "eszrevetelek", which appears to mean "memo". That could just be dropped, but if kept the language should be identified and the instance tagged with {{lang}}. -- Beland (talk) 17:43, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Miniapolis's tagging was the first edit after my copy edit, so I have to take responsibility for missing the hiccups that were found to be definite errors. The lead is five short paragraphs, which probably can be consolidated. If "gubernium" is a problem, then "governorate" might be a candidate for substitution, although "region" or "province" might also be considered. I'll have a look. "Eszerevetelek" and other similarly foreign terms certainly could be candidates for translation. Dhtwiki (talk) 22:19, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Dhtwiki, it's a long article and you did a good job on the copyedit. All the best, Miniapolis 23:07, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

Miss you
editHi Miniapolis :) I was just thinking of you. Hope all has been well with you and that you've been taking care through everything that's happened in the last year and a half. It's certainly not the same at ArbCom without you! Glad to see you're still doing the things you enjoy here. KevinL (aka L235 · t · c) 19:53, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words, Kevin. I learned a lot as an ArbCom clerk, not least that I was in over my head. Hope you're doing well too; if there's anything I can help with, please let me know. Hope you're not troubled by the flooding; we in Western New York are awaiting our turn in the barrel, but can use the rain (hope I haven't jinxed us ). Stay well and all the best, Miniapolis 22:58, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

Zhiar Ali
editHello, thanks for improving Zhiar Ali! Looks great now! I added a small portion of text to the first paragraph of lead as well as the last paragraph in in activism section, would it be possible to take a quick look at them and see if they need any improvements? Thank you in advance!--Épine (talk) 10:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- In the lead, I'd rephrase
"He had also co-founded the first pro-vegan animal rights organization Kurdistan Vegans"
as "He co-founded Kurdistan Vegans, the region's first pro-vegan animal rights organization". The first sentence of the last paragraph of the Activism section should be divided in two. I'm busy with other things, and can't copyedit this article any further; perhaps you should have waited to list it at WP:GOCE/REQ until after it was expanded.
