 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in San José (canton). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Don't add flag icons as decorations. See MOS:FLAG.   Hello, I'm Lightoil. I noticed that in this edit to Grace Kimmins, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Lightoil (talk) 02:45, 26 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Santa Ana (canton), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Leafy46 (talk) 22:22, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

oh alright, thank you for bringing everything back. Since I am the main editor for that page I removed everything under the notion that I could make drastic changes such as that considering I had written most of the page, and that I was (at the time and still a bit now), concerned that I hadn´t dealt with the history of my hometown in the best way, but I do understand now that that was probably not a great desicion. So thank you very much!
I hope you´re having a nice day, and again, thank you for this Srafelball55 (talk) 21:22, 22 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Santa Ana

edit

Hello! I wanted to commend and thank you for all the work you put into the article Santa Ana (canton). I'm going over every Costa Rican canton's article to add local government information and I almost immediately noticed Santa Ana's is substantially longer than most others when I opened it. I applaud your expansion of the article and just wanted you to know that it hasn't gone unnoticed!
On a tangentially related note, I noticed your name in the list of participants in WikiProject Costa Rica isn't updated. It does link to your userpage without issue, but it shows your old username. Just telling you in case you want to change it.
I hope you're having a good evening. Rubýñ (Scold) 01:25, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

oh hello, good afternoon!
1) oh thank you so very much! It took a bit of work but I did manage it in the end. Even though I do think its worth rewriting now (I might do that eventually) thank you so much! And thank you for the work you´ve done to these pages too.
2) Oh yeah, I removed my name when I stopped edited for Wikipedia like 3 or so months ago, I don´t know if i´ll add myself again but, thank you for telling me anyways!
Anyways I hope you have a good rest of your day! Marigoldhill7 (talk) 23:21, 2 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
