Page moves
editHello, Lukt64,
Please do not move articles around multiple times. It's disruptive and it looks like you aren't sure what you are doing. Do not move a page on a whim, consider whether or not a move is called for and move a page ONCE.
If you have questions, please take them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:54, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. – Hilst [talk]

- Hello, Lukt64,
- Some of your article page moves on this subject were reverted. In the future, when considering moving such high profile articles to a different page title, start a discussion on the article talk page to gain consensus. These discussions have to run at least a week unless it's a case of a SNOW closure. Doing this first will prevent these instances of article page moves and later reverts. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:11, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Please stop reinserting the file c:File:2024 Ecuador Conflict.svg to the article, you have been reverted by multiple editors but aren't relenting. This file lacks any kind of source what so ever. Further reverts will have to involve administrators intervention. Ecrusized (talk) 19:26, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of an attack page
editA page you created has been deleted because it was a biography of a living person that was entirely negative in tone and unsourced, according to section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
Do not create articles about living people that are entirely negative in tone and unsourced. Wikipedia has a policy of verifiability and any negative information we use must be reliably sourced, and our articles must be balanced. Negative, unreferenced biographies of living people are not tolerated by Wikipedia and users who create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy may be blocked from editing. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe) 18:23, 10 February 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Lukt64/bets
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Lukt64/bets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Hilst [talk]

The article 2024 Iraq clashes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:NOTNEWS. Single sentence article that does not provide any information.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ecrusized (talk) 23:37, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

Finding consensus at Talk:Allegations of genocide in the 2023 Israeli attack on Gaza
editHey, thanks for pitching in at Talk:Allegations of genocide in the 2023 Israeli attack on Gaza. More attention on the subject can help the community come to a reasonable decision. But I noticed the input you provided is based on your personal analysis of the subject. This type of input can be counterproductive, because consensus on Wikipedia should be based on reliable sources and policy-based arguments. In the case of a page move, arguments should be based on what the subject is explicitly called in reliable sources, not what individual editors understand or determine it to be. Personal interpretation or analysis is generally given little to no weight when determining the results of the discussion. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 21:58, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

- I turned all the dots red provisionally until the issue of sourcing can be addressed. The guidelines at Module:Russo-Ukrainian War detailed map/doc, which are based on the Syrian Civil War map practices, are considered best practices.
- IP, I would encourage you to read our sourcing policy in detail.
- Also, technically the template and module automatically fall under some pretty serious restrictions similar to those applied to the Israel—Palestine conflict (to my knowledge those are the only two areas, let’s hope it stays that way). Unfortunately, those restrictions create a walled garden where only extended-confirmed editors (500 edits/30 days) can edit, while other editors have to make talk page requests. Yeah, I know it says “an encyclopedia that anyone can edit”. I didn’t make the rules.
