Reliable sources

edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Mohamed Sahnoun ‎, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 16:00, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Mohamed Sahnoun. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. — JJMC89(T·C) 06:55, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure how this is un sourced content. This is verifiable.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jughurta dz (talkcontribs)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy, as you did with this edit to Mohamed Sahnoun. — JJMC89(T·C) 07:03, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

JJMC89 I am not sure why you are challenging this as not a reliable source you are overriding actual factual information. . I have checked numerous pages where there is no references or reliable sources cited for the person's family. It is odd that this information is systematically deleted. Please explain to me how this is a violation. This is verifiable information— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jughurta dz (talkcontribs)

Jughurta - your original addition included an unreliable source ("prabook"). That site is user-editable and has a specific disclaimer that the information is not validated and that they do not claim the material is accurate. We have a higher standard for biographies of livings persons; you must provide sources when the material is challenged, or the material is removed. If it is 'verifiable' then please provide references, per WP:V. I would strongly suggest you use the article's talk page, or provide it here - any further violations of WP:BLP may lead to a block of this account. Kuru (talk) 13:39, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Signature

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as the Teahouse, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 11:09, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks David Biddulph I am still new to this but appreciate all the feedback . Is this the proper way to do it? Jughurta dz(talk)
The two possible ways to do it are explained in my message. I don't know what you did, but you got it wrong, as there wasn't a timetag. --David Biddulph (talk) 12:02, 2 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
