Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, JoyIto405. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Sachiyoito, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 20:39, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hello JoyIto405, I have restored Draft:Sachiyo Ito based on your request at Requests for Undeletion. I did not see a response to this notification, so if you have an external connection with the subject company, or its founders, you have a WP:Conflict of interest and will have to disclose the same. See WP:DISCLOSE#How to disclose for details, or you can message me if you require help. Thanks. Jay 07:59, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- @JoyIto405: this is a follow-up request. Jay 02:46, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- 2nd followup. JoyIto405, I see that you referred to yourself as Sachiyo Ito at the Teahouse discussion, and other participants at the discussion mentioned that Draft:Sachiyo Ito is your autobiography. If this is so, can you make the required disclosure as I mentioned above?
- Also, there is another User:Sachi Ito who has made an edit to the draft around the same time as you. If that happens to be your alternate account, or someone you have an external connection with, you can disclose that. I checked with the user at the talk page, but did not get a response. Jay 💬 07:24, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- @JoyIto405: Do you know how to use the talk page? Jay 💬 19:26, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Jay,
- My name is Yanglin, a volunteer assistant to Sachiyo Ito.
- We received a few messages from you since a began editing the last version sent in November 4, 2022. We did not respond to you right away, for it seemed you were referring to the submission sent in July, 2022.
- We have some questions now. Since the very first submission in 2021 was written by a volunteer of Sachiyo Ito and Company, who dictated the work of Sachiyo Ito, and then with guideline the volunteer assistant of Sachiyo Ito and Company revised for 9 times and submitted. Under "COI", bottom line, is submission by a volunteer writer accepted? Please let us know. Or should we contact the third writer?
- In that case, would the third party have different email address and password? Is there a way to identify? Does he or she create a draft and submit it under Sachiyo Ito?
- Look forward to hearing from your advice and reply.
- Sincerely JoyIto405 (talk) 16:11, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- This COI notification is based on JoyIto405's contributions to the Draft:Sachiyo Ito page, and not any particular submission. A Wikipedia user account should represent an individual and not an organization or a company. At the Teahouse discussion, JoyIto405 referred to herself as Sachiyo Ito, and here JoyIto405 says she is Yanglin, and that there was another volunteer in 2021. Sharing an account – or the password to an account – with others is not permitted, you will have to stop the practice, decide who the individual owner of this account is, and change the password. And make the paid-editing disclosure as detailed in the notification message. It is still unclear who User:Sachi Ito is, since that user did not respond to my message, and there is no clarification here either. Jay 💬 07:59, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
- Please clarify if this user account is meant to represent Sachiyo Ito, and if it is a shared account with access to multiple people. Jay 💬 09:01, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- JoyIto405, I see that you are continuing to make edits to Sachiyo Ito, but are yet to reply to the above about your conflict of interest. Jay 💬 05:36, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

- Hello Missvain,
- Apologies! I oversighted your email, and just found your reply, though I had been waiting for. I have a question. Is it possible for a third party writer whom I will find, and she/he creates a new account and send you the submission? Or she /he sends the submission from this account as a continuation? For I think someone else work on this may be better.
- Please let me know. Thank you.

Sachiyo Ito moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Sachiyo Ito, is not suitable as written to remain published. Major problems with tone issues. scope_creepTalk 19:49, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
- I have commented on the Talk Page of the draft article regarding the difference of opinion between the two new-article reviewers, one of whom accepted a recent draft and the other re-draftified it (as above). That Talk Page is the correct venue to gain consensus as to the next steps. There is no need for you to become involved, given your WP:COI. Mike Turnbull (talk) 13:32, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
