User talk:Johnleemk/Archive1
Hi Johnleemk, Welcome to wikipedia! I just wanted to point out, in case you didn't already know about it, that there is also a Malay wikipedia and a Chinese wikipedia. If you can read or write any of these languages, why not give us a visit too? Best, -- Kowey 14:08, 19 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Thanks, Kowey. Chinese isn't really my forte, but I might contribute infrequently to the Malay wikipedia. -- Johnleemk 15:06, 19 Feb 2004 (UTC)~
Table width
editThe tables youre adding to the various PM articles are too wide (taking over half the page on my 1024px screen and probably almost all of an 800px screen. Note what I did for Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. You might want to try the same for the others. --Jiang 08:34, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Categories
editI've been adding the Beatles-related articles into categories because - and I'm not being flippant here - I can. That's the main motivation, we have categories, they're a good idea, they should be used. The album pages are the best example of this; it's not possible to have them listed by year, artist, genre etc without someone slowly driving themselves insane by trying to maintain a list. I've tried to do what I can about fixing the breakages categories cause; but with album pages, they were broken already, and it's going to take a bit of effort to get the tables working right again. Hope that's a satisfactory enough answer. Take care. -- Jim Regan 07:17, 31 May 2004 (UTC)
I've fixed the problem with the infoboxes. -- Jim Regan 09:15, 31 May 2004 (UTC)
How Many Petals Around the Rose?
editGreetings John. I thought I'd just mention the paragraph under the How Many Petals Around the Rose? heading on your user page. You refer to dice six times but actually mean die. Don't worry, this is not a criticism. We ALL learn something new every day. Cheers. Moriori 21:28, Jun 10, 2004 (UTC)
Question re:VFD
editIs it just me, or did you do something that resulted (possiby through MediaWiki being buggy) in turning the section on Bible Atrocities into a duplication of the preceding section, and then proceed to delete the duplicate, leaving no resolution to the bible thing? [1] -- कुक्कुरोवाच|Talk‽ 01:26, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Did you take a look at the link? (The Diff implies that you deleted the Bible Atrocities section and replaced it with a duplicate Bergger section. I assume this wasn't something you decided to, but rather some kind of glitch. In any case, if you don't know what I'm talking about, I suppose I can simply restore it. -- कुक्कुरोवाच|Talk‽ 02:28, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Hello! You should look at the above link, perhaps it can solve your Education in Malaysia dilemma. Good luck. ✏ Sverdrup 01:32, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Dear Mr.King...
editThe following group of words from you unfortunately came to my notice. I have added my responses to them.
Hi, you've made some edits to Coca-Cola recently.
- May be. Thanks for your notice.
Wikipedia appreciates your contributions to our database of knowledge, but we would appreciate it if you had a little Wikiquette.
- I never knew wikipedia has appointed you as their spokesperson. I thought everyone is same in this open domain. Anyway wikipedia appreciates your comment. But we dislike subtle arrogance, if you had meant it that way!
The talk page for the article (Talk:Coca-Cola) indicates that this article has been nominated for featured status at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. The discussion there is somewhat vital to understanding some of the article's contents.
- Wikipedia appreciates your vital understanding. Keep it up. But I have to call your ignorant remark as preposterous, if you had meant that I did not have a 'vital' understanding.
Therefore, I hope you understand that I am reinstating the mention of Pepsi in the opening paragraph, as I think that if you wanted a quick overview of what Coca-Cola is, you shouldn't need to look further than the first paragraph, and the Coke-Pepsi relationship definitely needs mentioning as has been agreed in the discussion at Featured article candidates, especially since although it is implicitly implied elsewhere in the article that they are rivals, there has been no explicit mention. Thanks, and I hope you'll be able to help us in improving many more articles in the future. Johnleemk | Talk 08:13, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Your higness, there is something I should disclose to you. I have been contributing to this wikipedia ever since its inception. But I have never created an account till now - for it is my humble POV that an opensource and a free domain has no rulers and nobody claims responsibility for the content! Besides, I hate beaurocrats and red-tapism - I myself did not want to become one just by typing word salads in all the pages. Neither I have the time nor I am interested in that. And I believe in the age old fact that 'anonymity is power'. Unfortunately, in the last few months I have been noticing sheer ignorance of this fact amidst the users of this domain and individual users are being sent messages as subtle warnings/intimidations in the name of talk messages. This is absolutely against the policy of a truly open encyclopedia. I am against vandalism. But I am also against this subtle coercion being exhibited by these self-styled kings and queens of a supposedly democratic system. I can assert with confidence that wikipedia will never represent the truth if the healthy 'war of words' is suppressed in any form. If you want to channel the discussion in any way according to your POV, then the entire discussion becomes a piece of garbage. The other thing I wanted to bring to your notice, your highness, is this increasing number of 'monday morning quarterbacks'. My question to them is, instead of criticizing an effort, why not go and change the concerned page themselves? Nobody is awarded the Nobel prize if the article they nominated is featured :)
Just like everyone else, I too consider that all other human beings except me are dumb idiots! And if your message was intended as an intimidation - not to offend you but this has happened before, kindly take note that I consider most of these 'administrators' as the most ignorant morons of this universe. But if your intention was noble, thanks from the bottom of my heart. Also please note that whatever you have written above is not going to change what I feel like doing in that concerned page. Because, I really want this wikipedia to survive. Just like you, I am a strong supporter of all these supposedly/'trying to be' open source endeavours, for a little more number of years than you.
Wikipedia appreciates your contributions. Please continue your good effort :)--Drbalaji md 08:52, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Hi, Johnleemk.
Thanks for the admin nomination and thanks for your kind words on that page. I have no desire to become an administrator, but I'm enjoying the discussion, so you'll forgive me if I continue to spectate for a little while longer :-)
As for our friend Drbalaji md, I meant to tell you how impressed I was by your response on his talk page. An impeccable example of grace under pressure. I fear that getting drawn into a long, forensic indictment of his smiley-tinged "bad guy wrestler" shtick might wind up precipitating us all into a YHBT abyss. Hopefully, simply listing the "Drbalaji" persona on RFC will persuade him to concentrate instead on the neglected "Flagfanatic" routine, which has much greater comic potential :-)
chocolateboy 14:04, 13 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Ditto here. Johnleemk showed amazing maturity and coolness in responding to DrBalaji. Despite all provocations what he got finally was an ass-word and he had to do with it. It teaches me to be extra-careful as even a single word could be used against you. By the way, why have you said in your user page "my biggest regret is forgetting to login while writing Education in Malaysia". Hope you are aware of this page : Wikipedia:Changing attribution for an edit. Jay 15:06, 13 Jul 2004 (UTC)
RFC
editI haven't participated in an RFC before, so I'm not aware of the ground rules. What is the intention of placing DrBalaji in RFC and what are the objectives ? Jay 16:45, 13 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Ya I had the other day read through the RFC page written by you. But my questions remain unanswered, what is the intention and the objectives. "It's basically a place for any user to bring up possible violations of Wikipedia policy by other users". Fine, then what ? It helps in what way ? Jay 18:53, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Captions
editHi, Johnleemk, thanks for stepping in and captioning images on Coca-Cola. I hope you don't mind that I touched them up just a little to make them full sentences. Please do caption some other articles, too! -- ke4roh 14:53, Jul 20, 2004 (UTC)
Sorry, I did that full-sentence thing on crushing by elephant, too. Proper attribution of images is excellent information on the image description page, and sometimes it just doesn't seem to fit in the caption. What do you think of it now? FYI, there are some good captioning tips at Wikipedia:Captions. Many thanks for your help with the captions project! I certainly appreciate it. -- ke4roh 14:24, Jul 23, 2004 (UTC)

NO OFFENCE INTENDED
editSorry you felt slighted by my reply to your helpul advise about using upper case. I do not spend so much time online as to understand such conventions, which seem obscure to me. However I have taken your advise. The point about Swanscombe was the only reference I could think about to reason from whence your message came. Live and learn!
PS I am not really so angry but think wikipedia could benefit from a few new conventions relating to he casual way in which people make clean-up requests. I have like most contributors spent a lot of time prepaing articles for the encyclopedia, and am often gratified to see others work on them, I wouldnt bother otherwise, but wish that others would be a little more considerate before condeming the odd item out of hand.
I am trying to compile a list of items about the lord wardens o the cinque ports, and must admit to getting a bit confused along the way. When I make errors, which I do, I expect someone to pick up on them, but I have found plenty of examples of badly written pages, and if I can I try to improve upon them, not complain about it. The feature of clean-up is a useful tool however, perhaps I am wrong, and should start using it?... Thanks again, I am not so involved in the wiki community as to have much contact with any one, and those people who make an effort to contact me are given full consideration and you just got me on a bad day, having spent the entire week resetting my pc and killing spyware intrusions, I guess. Cheers, all the same. Faedra.

FAC overload
editJohn - you recently nominated 7 (!) articles on the FAC. As the instructions say Please do not place more than one nomination at a time — if too many nominations exist at once, it is difficult to do the article and objections justice. - we didn't set a hard limit on nominations per user, but 7 is just utterly ridiculous. It's also inconsiderate of others who have nominations there and would like those nominations to get attention as well. As such, I've 6 of the nominations (the 7th already had comments). →Raul654 17:54, Sep 11, 2004 (UTC)

Hard Day's Night (song)
editGood contribution on one of my favourite songs, but I must disagree with one of your comments:
"A Hard Day's Night is probably the only Beatles song that is recognisable within two seconds, thanks to George Harrison's unmistakable Rickenbacker 12-string guitar's opening chord."
Well, yes, it is recognisable, but two seconds into Hey Jude, Paul has already sung the title. Help! is another song where the title is the first thing heard. So I wouldn't really say it's the only one recognisable that early!

Your comment on RfA
editCyborgTosser is up for nomination for admin again, a month after being voted down. You had a neutral position then, saying he has had little to no interaction on the site with others. That's not to mention his <1000 edits, 150+ of them which were on his talk page. I completely agree with your sentiment, he mostly edits on science fiction and music pages, as well as EE, and rarely ventures even into discussion pages, never mind have an actual discussion in them. This has not changed since you suggested it a month ago. And since he never interacts with anyone - why does he need to be admin? I want to see him try to resolve some contentious page like some Israel/Palestine one or something so I can see if he can deal with being an admin.
Here's his RfA page: Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/CyborgTosser

links and references
editI understand your point. I had the same thought before I made the change. But I think they are both links and references and thus could go in both places. I would venture to guess that a huge number of Wikipedia pages have links that are also sources. For scholarship it is great that there are references. For making the page more valuable to users I think it would be better to have links. I bet most people gloss over references but explore the links. It was for these reasons that I put them in the list of links. Alan Pollack's notes are most definitely referred to in the article, and the Beatle's official website a very usefull link. Should they go in both places? --Samuel Wantman 06:46, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Question about Preliminary Deletion
editHi there. I have a question about the corollary for handling a possible caveat of the preliminary deletions policy. It says "that each article must receive at least two "keep" votes before going to VFD." Later, it says that "if 90% or more votes are for delete, then the article will not be listed on VFD until the percentage of delete votes drop below 90%."
So what happens if the article has two votes (which should normally send it to VFD), but the percentage of delete votes is over 90%? If no more "keep" votes are added, and the percentage of delete votes never drops below 90%, what happens to the article? Is it declared that consensus hasn't been reached? Is it deleted? Is it sent to VFD anyways? Will votes by striked out? I tried asking on #wikipedia, but nobody seemed to know :(. Thank you for your anticipated response. -[[User:Frazzydee|Frazzydee|✍]] 03:53, 30 Oct 2004 (UTC)
You seem to fairly heavily involved in the proposal for Preliminary deletion. I was wondering why it is that despite the voting having concluded favourably nothing has been yet set up. I was tempted to set up the wikipedia:purgatory page myself to get things rolling. However, it occured to me that there might be some reason that no action has been taken. Is this so? If the inaction is due to lack of will power then I'll happily help set things up next weekend (I don't edit during the week in term time). Regards. Barnaby dawson 15:57, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Wikinews demo up and running
editHi!
I'm writing to let you know that the Wikimedia Board of Trustees has approved the first stage of the Wikinews project. There's now a fully operational English demo site at demo.wikinews.org. This will be used for experimenting with various review models and basic policies before the site is launched officially in about a week. demo.wikinews.org will become the English version later.
You voted for the Wikinews project, so I'm asking for your participation now. Everything is open, nothing is final. What Wikinews will and can be depends in large part on you. There already is a global Wikinews mailing list for discussing the project. If you are interested at all, please subscribe -- coordination is of key importance. There's also an IRC channel #wikinews on irc.freenode.net. Realtime discussion can help to polish up articles.
If you're looking for something to do, check out the articles in development and articles in review. Or start a new story in the Wikinews workspace, or ignore the proposed review system - it's up to you. I hope you'll join us soon in this exciting experiment.--Eloquence* 01:59, Nov 17, 2004 (UTC)

New feature to control campaign messages
editHi Johnleemk,
Thanks for spending so much of your valuable time discussing the issue of campaign messages on various pages.
And before I forget, thank you for your earlier decision to support the "get out the vote" banner, despite your belief that such publicity is really not necessary. The "get out the vote" banner has been a resounding success, with users adding links to it left and right!
Your remarks forced me to devote some serious thought to finding a creative solution to the issue of campaign messages.
I understand the desire not to politicize elections. But aren't voters wise enough to make their own decision to choose to receive campaign messages and make up their own minds?
I also respect privacy, and if users indicate they do not want campaign messages, there should be harsh sanctions for campaigners who ignore those wishes.
Please check out the proposal at Software and features, and vote to approve a new feature that allows users to control whether or not they receive campaign messages.
I'm hopeful that if users are allowed to explicitly declare their willingness to receive such messages, that others will not feel quite so offended.
If you'll support this effort, I think it will go a long ways towards increasing voter turnout in future elections.
Thanks in advance if you choose to help out.
Cheers,
--DV 12:14, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)
P.S.: I've been impressed by the ability of the contributors on Wikipedia to find creative solutions to difficult issues, so if you have additional, creative ideas of your own, I would like to hear from you.
- Thanks for adding your comments to the proposal, Johnleemk!
- There are two separate issues here: pure, get-out-the-vote efforts, and candidate-specific messages.
- I'm still on the fence about candidate-specific messages, because I happen to know from real-world experience that they work, and yet I understand the various folks who indicate they are turned off by them.
- But there is a time-honored tradition of get-out-the-vote efforts, and even that much was met with a lot of hemming and hawing on the part of several Administrators when I asked if we could do more to publicize the election.
- Perhaps I will make this point clearer in the proposal, but I would really like to know how many editors regularly hang out at recent changes, vs the number of editors who just edit the articles they are interested in and would otherwise be unaware that elections are even taking place.
- I only became aware of the upcoming election because I saw an offhand reference to it on a user talk page. I very well could have continued editing articles and heard nothing about the election. I think many other editors are in this same boat.
- My motivation is this - given the failure of the current administration to improve the editing environment, (many serious and very experienced editors have repeatedly expressed how stressful it is is to work on political or history articles), I insist that we need fresh faces with fresh ideas.
- Restricting publicity about the elections to the portal and recent changes pages does not help increase voter turnout. And yet this lack of real publicity is what several administrators have said is "the way it's done around here".
- Elections really need to be publicized on many, many user talk pages (in a tasteful manner, of course), to bring in those fresh new faces, or the editing environment will simply continue to stagnate with very slow improvements.
- Please let me know if you have other ideas for how to improve the editing environment, but getting out the vote seems to be a critical part of it.
- Thanks.

Genghis Khan featured article submission response
editThere isn't much "all the material" on the topic of Genghis Khan per se. This is all we got and it is good. Can you suggest some more "material"? Try Google-ing "Genghis Khan" and compare the articles out there with this Wikipedia one.
Voting tallies == number of active editors?
editBy the way, per your recommendation on the "Spam" discussion subpage, I looked at the voting tallies for the Deletion policy votes, and it appeared that nothing received over a hundred votes.
Also, the "Three Revert Rule" stands at 152 to 27.
Are there really fewer than 179 active editors on Wikipedia?
If so, this project is quite a bit smaller than I thought it was.
For some reason I was under the impression that thousands of editors were working on this project.
If there really are thousands of editors, then your examples only strengthen my argument that elections need more publicity, because most editors have clearly not been watching for polls and elections if only 1% of them voted.
(As a matter of fact, in most countries with free and fair elections, the vote would be disbelieved and annulled as a farce if only 1% of the electorate turned out.)
I myself only found out about this election by an offhand reference on someone's user talk page. And I've known serious, although absent-minded writers who needed to be reminded to change their clothes every day, so this business about expecting any serious editor to check the portal and recent changes seems overly optimistic - hence my suggestions to be more proactive about publicizing elections.
You stated, "I see no point in advertising the election on several thousand user talk pages", so please back up your speculation about why this isn't necessary with some objective data, otherwise I think your assumptions are mistakenly supporting a policy which (un-intentionally) suppresses voter turnout.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss these issues with me.
Cheers,

John, I think that your personal dislike for me is preventing you from carrying on a reasonable discussion regarding the articles, and I'm unwilling to continue to tolerate the insults I've been receiving and at the same time having my work on articles put perpetually on hold. So I would like to know if you'd consider mediation? Everyking 16:09, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
How in the world am I supposed to get community consensus, John? I've tried, I stayed up all night trying, I begged and begged for people to just talk to me about the articles, but you wouldn't, and nobody else would either. All anyone wanted to do was insult me. Now I'm very, very tired, and you probably wouldn't even believe how much stress this has all caused me. I'm going to try to get some rest. Everyking 17:03, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Thanks
editThanks for combining the endorsement pages together. You showed extreme good faith. You voted against it but acted in a very decent way. Thanks again. --Mrfixter 20:36, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
John, last night in entering a comment on VfD I inadvertently removed your reference to America (song) while trying to copy-and-paste it to my comment. It's been spotted and fixed by someone else, but I know it might appear like a hostile act so I'm posting here to apologise. It was a careless error. --[[User:Tony Sidaway|Tony Sidaway Talk ]] 11:18, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
A Message to my Fellow Candidate
editFriend,
The Arbitration Committee elections are almost here. I humbly ask for your vote in this election cycle. I have been a user of Wikipedia for over a year. I was here before the Community Portal, categories, or {{stub}}. I know how Wikipedia operates, and I am prepared to do my part to deal with problematic accounts. I wish to cut out the bureaucracy that makes our website stagnate. We need solutions to our problems now. If you want an arbitrator who believes in action, frankness, honesty, and fairness in every case, I am your arbitrator. Thank you for your time. You are under no obligation to answer this message.
Thanks for Duran Duran nomination
editJust wanted to say thanks for the WP:FAC nomination of Duran Duran -- I've been working on the article on and off for a long time, gradually improving it, so it was really a thrill to see someone notice it. It also spurred me to put some sustained effort into improving the prose and finding some pictures (fair use, at least). I've appreciated your work on Beatles songs and elsewhere around WP; please keep up the good work! (Best of luck on your Arbitration run, too....) Re: Deletion
editI got a laugh out of you plugging your preliminary deletion proposal again. Thanks for that. :)
As I mentioned to you on IRC, I'm actually leaning towards giving fixing up vfd a miss. I think I'm going to work on a form of meta:Pure wiki deletion system (proposal). I figure if I make it an optional feature that defaults to off it's got a chance. Once people have a solid alternative they're more likely to make the change, the reason why we're stuck with our current system I think is because nobody wants to OK a change to some nebulous system. If given a choice between two concrete alternatives, change is more likely. Shane King 23:40, Dec 2, 2004 (UTC)
Debate about deleting an image
editGreetings. There is a spirited debate going on here about whether or not to delete Image:Nevada-Tan.jpg for privacy reasons. Since you have recently voiced an opinion on Wikipedia:Divulging personal details, I thought you might be interested in weighing in. – Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 18:46, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
Re: John Bull (locomotive) suggestion
editI've shortened the intro to remove some of the detail that is in the main History section. I still think it could be better worded, but I don't want to take out too much. Thank you for your comment of semi-support. B-) slambo 02:01, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
References in Yesterday (song)
editI did see your comment, and you were correct. That article does have inline citations, so it is not entirely without references. I moved it down to a section noting that. Ideally it could have more references and have them all also listed in a 'references' section. See what you can do. Thanks - Taxman 17:40, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
RFC pages on VfD
editShould RFC pages be placed on VfD to be deleted? I'm considering removing Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Slrubenstein, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Jwrosenzweig and Wikipedia:Requests for comment/John Kenney from WP:VFD. Each of them was listed by CheeseDreams. Your comments on whether I should do this would be appreciated. - Ta bu shi da yu 03:51, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)
A more wiki way of deleting
editHeya, seeing as you're one of the editors who's been active trying to improve our deletion system, I wonder if you could have a look at my proposal. It still needs some fleshing out, so I'm not quite moving it into Wikipedia: or announcing it officially yet (it's hard enough to get people to eyeball these proposals once, I'd rather they do so when it's done), but I would like to get some comments from other people working with the current deletion system. Feel free to edit to your hearts content, as long as you leave the general idea behind it intact. Thanks in advance! --fvw* 20:13, 2004 Dec 11 (UTC)
My Adminship
editWikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Squash
Many people say that I am so and so merely due to their opinion. Despite the fact that my userpage may not be the most mature userpage on the Wikipedia, is because I try to enjoy life and express myself freely. As with everyone there are many people who are out there in this worlds nowadays, to ruin the reputation and self-esteem of others. I think that I deserve this adminship as I have contributed much to the Wikipedia. Because some people says that I am so and so, is that really true?. No-one should believe the words of other people except for themselves and trust their own instincts. I hope you will change your decision to support me. There will always be people who disagree and force you into believing them. I think you should do what you think is right for the Wikipedia Please give me fair go and support me. references?
editwhy do we need those references in the Something (song) article? what purpose do they serve? Kingturtle 07:42, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
I have a question
editLet's see, you are 14 years old, and you are a wiki-admin. Are you a computer geek? And how well are your skills in computer? Tell me, please. I might need your help in some computer-related problems. Please help if I ask, hey! We are of the same age, same race, and liv'n in the same country. User:randytsx
- You might want to try going to http://www.linuxquestions.org/ to get your questions answered. That's advice, not spam, btw. crazyeddie 18:34, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Impressive...Totally impressive. How did u do that? How did you master your English so well, your article on your page can win you a grand prize in an essay competition in our school you know. Now not every 14-year-old can do that, but you can, how? Wow.... And, a computer-related problem, how can I install Linux without any "install exited abnormally" and how to prevent "turning off swap" from freezing when shutting down the system. Thx if u help. :) Wow....
- I'm using Fedora Core 1 and 2, SOT Linux 2003 Desktop Edition, and Linspire 4.5. They all can't be installed smoothly and there are always errors when installing (besides Linspire) and if I install them sucessfully, there will be lots of errors when running programs (all of the Linux distributions I mentioned) in them. And why programs won't run when I execute them in Linux? And sometimes, when I try to shut the Linux down, when it comes to "Turning off swap" it just freezes there? How to solve these problems? And about internet connection, after I connected using kPPP, my Fedora Core 2's Mozilla and other web browsers still can't surf the net, and I think no other programs detect the connection kPPP made, how to fix this? But I can go online using Network Tools, and the connection is really slow (1kb/s). Thx :) - 为学患无疑,疑则有进。- User:randytsx
- Then can u install any Linux I mentioned above smoothly without any errors? If u can, plz tell me how.
- Can a Linux be installed on a Fat32 or NTFS file system?
- Linux can mount a FAT32 partition. NTFS support is still shaky - read only is fine, but last I checked, read/write is still experimental. However, I have heard about a "captive driver" which uses the Windows driver. Linux can't be installed directly to FAT32, or NTFS for that matter, because Linux will insist that certain directories and files have their permissions set a certain way. FAT32 doesn't allow for permissions, while NTFS uses a different type of permissions. However, there is the UMSDOS filesystem, which uses a directory on a FAT filesystem (it stores the ownership and permissions data in seperate files). crazyeddie 18:34, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Can u program in c++? If u can do that, plz tell me how to intialize DirectX and OpenGL, thx! And can u write a program in Linux for other OS like Windows, how to do that?
RFA thanks
editSalve, Johnleemk!
I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your support in my successful RFA candidacy. It was very gratifying to see the kind remarks posted in the debate. And with my promotion, gasp no more. Ave! PedanticallySpeaking 17:36, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)
