Thank you for changing the "Start Class" of this article to "C" in all the categories. Though I wonder if you might now consider raising it still further to "B", in view of the fact that since I rewrote the article in July 2018, the number of pageviews has risen from 1200 to over 1800 a month? The "C" was awarded to the earlier article; the increased readership presumably indicates that it has been improved and is being found valuable. Kanjuzi (talk) 05:47, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hey Kanjuzi and thanks for dropping by. I assessed it at a C per the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia/Assessment. A "C" or "B" rating doesn't have to do with page views but the content of the article. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 13:07, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hmm! C-grade has the following description: "The article is substantial but is still missing important content or contains much irrelevant material. The article should have some references to reliable sources, but may still have significant problems or require substantial cleanup." I don't think you could say it is missing any important content (since it discusses virtually every minor aspect of the subject) or that anything in it is irrelevant; the sources are reliable and include virtually everything that is available academically (24 academic books are cited). So presumably you find there are other "significant problems", but I wonder what these are? I just say that since it got a C grade some time ago, the article has been improved a lot. Can you suggest in what way could it be improved further to reach the coveted grade of B? Thanks. Kanjuzi (talk) 06:03, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Kanjuzi, There is a lot of unsourced content. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:56, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks. There are already 127 supporting citations, but I suppose it could always use a few more! Kanjuzi (talk) 18:07, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- Kanjuzi, I don't see what the number of citations has to do with unsourced content. Everything needs to be sourced, it doesn't matter if the article has 100 citations already. If the sentence isn't sourced, it isn't sourced. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:38, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

The 50,000 Destubbing Challenge Summer Focus of the Week
Hi, just to announce that I've filed a £250 grant request for a "Summer Focus of the Week" feature for destubbing articles which will be run from May 1 to the end of July. £20 is planned to be rewarded each week, £10 most articles destubbed for the allocated focus of the week and £10 for the most destubbed for any topic of choice in total, a full £20 if most for the focused area. While it is intended to be more relaxed and open than an official contest, allowing editors to take a break some weeks from staying on focus and editing as they normally do, the winner will be whoever wins the most prize money at the end, so it is likely that some weeks they will need to tackle entries from the regional area allocated. The Summer Focus of the Week is planned to commence on May 1 with a 10 day focus on SouthEast England but will cover many regions of the globe by the end of the scheme. S E England was originally planned as a full blown contest (which you signed up for) but it will now be run as part of this 50,000 Challenge and I will redirect the contest page to the 50,000 Challenge. Please sign up on the Wikipedia:The 50,000 Destubbing Challenge page if interested if you haven't already and hope this will be something enjoyable over the next few months!† Encyclopædius 13:47, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

DYK for Akil Thomas
On 24 April 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Akil Thomas, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that ice hockey player Akil Thomas runs a clothing company that embraces his Barbadian heritage? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Akil Thomas. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Akil Thomas), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
I've reviewed it again (/wiki/Abdul_Mujeeb)
He's a very famous comedian, artist and YouTuber, even I'm getting payed to work for him. He's upcoming artist and many news articles already mentioned him in their newspapers and websites. I've put some links too there. As you left there, that this need more references, so, my team already have started work on it. We're adding it very soon. Thank you so much for your consideration. We'll make it more good to go and perfect for WikiPedia. Link to article: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Abdul_Mujeeb — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usama302 (talk • contribs) 13:24, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Usama302, the person is clearly not notable. I gave you time to improve it and you reverted my decision so I have nominated it for deletion. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:15, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Hey HickoryOughtShirt?4, this is what you see that I put it back to live on WikiPedia. Actually yes, I'm getting paid to do this work, and I also researched a lot before. So, yes, I clearly saw He (Abdul Mujeeb) is notable enough to be on Wikipedia Encyclopedia. I put it back to live, because I reviewed that again and thought it's good to go right now. So, as for the deletion, think it would be different enough as He is still notable. I again search out for him on YouTube as Abdul Mujeeb and his all videos were on the screen. There in article I've mentioned that he is known for, as famous for, his channel name: "Mujeebi Saazish" and yes that's him. Second thing is that his Facebook followers too, as famous as Mujeebi Saazish, thou, he's itself Abdul Mujeeb, and got famous because of "Mujeebi Saazish". I would like to request you to take off the Nomination for Deletion decision and please review it again. It's still notable. I would also like to add some references from authenticated news stories too and some authenticated interviews too. Thank you so much for your reconsideration but that was all what I saw. Kindly have a look at it, would really be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usama302 (talk • contribs) 20:29, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- Usama302, you are free to add in the references but I am not withdrawing my nominations. He fails our notability criteria which requires multiple independent and significant news coverage. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:32, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Hey, I've added the references related to news coverage too. He got news articles and news coverage too about him, about his channel and page as Mujeebi Saazish, as well many interviews too. Do I still need to wait for AfD decision? As, yes, he's a social media celebrity actually like Taimoor Salahuddin, and others.
- See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and most of your sources come from Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc. All comments should be on the AfD nom, not here. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:48, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest
Good Afternoon sir/madam,
I am not being paid to make edits to this page. NJERI MATHENGE (talk) 20:51, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Eunice Njeri Mathenge — Preceding unsigned comment added by NJERI MATHENGE (talk • contribs) 20:46, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- NJERI MATHENGE It is not just to edit to the page but have a conflict of interest with the subject. Just to clarify, you aren't a Project Manager at ACORN MANAGEMENT SERVICES LIMITED? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:49, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
No sir, I am not a project manager there — Preceding unsigned comment added by NJERI MATHENGE (talk • contribs) 20:53, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
- NJERI MATHENGE You can understand my skepticism when your first edit is to make a very promotional draft (Draft:Eunice Njeri). I'll WP:AGF and take your word that you aren't being paid in any capacity, as long as you understand that editing without disclosing any financial connections is against our Wikimedia Terms of Use and you will be blocked if it is revealed you do. The artist Eunice Njeri Mathenge is different from Njeri Mathenge that works at ACORN. The name "Eunice Njeri" was not available as a username when creating this account. - NJERI MATHENGE, how can you claim File:Eunice Njeri.jpg as your own work if you are not them, but in fact a different person with a similar name? Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 20:47, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
What else is required of me? As indicated, I am not being paid for writing this article. Isn't it unfair not to publish it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NJERI MATHENGE (talk • contribs) 20:27, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
What will you require from me to prove my identity? NJERI MATHENGE (talk) 20:02, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
- NJERI MATHENGE, Would you mind answering Lee Vilenski's question. Also, the draft is nowhere near ready for publication/mainspace. There are zero references. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:05, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Regarding the Jeanettenj11 block
Hey HickoryOughtShirt?4, hope you're doing well. I started a discussion at Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)#RfC:_unifying_the_WP:COIN_instructions_with_the_WP:OUTING_policy a couple days ago about the kind of conflicting instructions about who to send private evidence to, and bradv pointed out that WP:BLOCKEVIDENCE says that (normal, non-functionary) admins aren't supposed to block on non-public evidence. Since that's kind of what happened in the Jeanettenj11 case, it would probably be worth sending an email with the off-wiki evidence from that case to ArbCom (if you haven't already) just to make sure that all of the rules are followed. creffett (talk) 12:20, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

About Special:Contributions/Dannyboy1555, in particular Vera Winslow
Good evening HickoryOughtShirt?4,
The image claimed to be "Own work" by this user to be "Vera Winslow" is quite obviously one of Recy Taylor.
See this article in The Washington Post.
The user has a history of creating hoax articles. As an WP:admin you can see the user's deleted contributions.
It would seem to me appropriate to block this user until the user gives a commitment to observe Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and to stop problematic conduct in future.
I would appreciate your thoughts about this.

WikiCup 2020 May newsletter
The second round of the 2020 WikiCup has now finished. It was a high-scoring round and contestants needed 75 points to advance to round 3. There were some very impressive efforts in round 2, with the top ten contestants all scoring more than 500 points. A large number of the points came from the 12 featured articles and the 186 good articles achieved in total by contestants, and the 355 good article reviews they performed; the GAN backlog drive and the stay-at-home imperative during the COVID-19 pandemic may have been partially responsible for these impressive figures.
Our top scorers in round 2 were:
- Epicgenius, with 2333 points from one featured article, forty-five good articles, fourteen DYKs and plenty of bonus points
- Gog the Mild, with 1784 points from three featured articles, eight good articles, a substantial number of featured article and good article reviews and lots of bonus points
- The Rambling Man, with 1262 points from two featured articles, eight good articles and a hundred good article reviews
- Harrias, with 1141 points from two featured articles, three featured lists, ten good articles, nine DYKs and a substantial number of featured article and good article reviews
- Lee Vilenski with 869 points, Hog Farm with 801, Kingsif with 719, SounderBruce with 710, Dunkleosteus77 with 608 and MX with 515.
The rules for featured article reviews have been adjusted; reviews may cover three aspects of the article, content, images and sources, and contestants may receive points for each of these three types of review. Please also remember the requirement to mention the WikiCup when undertaking an FAR for which you intend to claim points. Remember also that DYKs cannot be claimed until they have appeared on the main page. As we enter the third round, any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed now, and anything you forgot to claim in round 2 cannot! Remember too, that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them. When doing GARs, please make sure that you check that all the GA criteria are fully met.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! what the fuck why did u delete my page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elissalilly (talk • contribs)
- Hi Elissalilly and welcome to Wikipedia. I would appreciate it if you didn't use such crude language on my talk page. I understand you're upset about the draft being deleted but please be conscious of others feelings. The draft was deleted because, much like your first attempt, it failed to properly follow Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:49, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Magic admin goggles for Sellbeta
Hi HickoryOughtShirt?4, was hoping I could ask for a favor. Could you put on your magic admin goggles and see if the draft you deleted a little bit ago at Draft:Sellbeta is substantially similar to any of Donelvisco's deleted contributions? I thought the name Sellbeta sounded familiar, and looking through my CSD log I see that Donelvisco repeatedly created a page for Sellbeta as well, so I wanted to check whether this is block evasion. creffett (talk) 13:28, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
- Creffett, Hmm, that's interesting. I see the article title was also salted under Sellbeta.com and Sellbeta, but each deleted draft is substantially different (yet still promotional). Wouldn't doubt a UPE farm over here. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:47, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Gaurang Raval
Hello HickoryOughtShirt?4. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Gaurang Raval, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: spammiest sections have gone now. Notability not clear, but there's enough here (awards) for A7. Needs to go to AfD if necessary. Thank you. GedUK 15:00, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Thanks for your help on Ruth Bader Ginsburg. However, I noticed that the length of the protection you instituted was shorter than the previous protection. Could you please consider changing it to at least a year if not indefinitely since the page was previously protected for six months? Thanks Putwood (talk) 03:15, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
- Putwood, Done. I personally feel this is one of the few pages that will likely always need protection. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:17, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
Are you sure you want to go with another six months instead of going longer? Putwood (talk) 03:21, 7 May 2020 (UTC)

HickoryOughtShirt?4, thanks for stopping the damage this user was doing at GAN, especially when you aren't feeling well. I was just checking through their edits to see whether any loose ends needed tying up, and was very surprised to discover a User:Martian-2007 account, apparently created a day later, which is almost certainly by the same user (the user page looks virtually identical, and the Carnival wikiproject is on the user talk page). I suspect this is due to cluelessness—Martian-2008 edited the Martian-2007 user page!—but as you were the blocking admin of the former account, I thought you should know about the latter's existence. Speedy deletion declined: Kasia Urbaniak
Hello HickoryOughtShirt?4. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kasia Urbaniak, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Whilst the text is more or less the same, the reason it was deleted last time wasn't because of notability, but because it was created by a sock. Speedy deleteing wouldn't be in the spirit of the rule in my mind. This should go back to AfD and get a full notability discussion. . Thank you. GedUK 10:09, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
