Gabrielkat
Welcome!
editI hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.
Additional tips
editHere's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.
Happy Wiki-ing.

Talk:Walt Disney Home Entertainment/Archive 1 has been archived, and should not be edited. If you have any comments about the Walt Disney Home Entertainment article, please add them to the current talk page, Talk:Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Thanks! tregoweth 02:44, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Small note about formatting
editFor easier readability, putting text you want to emphasize in bold or italics is usually better than ALL CAPS. (And ALL CAPS SEEMS LIKE SHOUTING, etc. :) ). tregoweth 15:30, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Block message
editHi, thanks for your contributions and warnings to vandals, but please do not put block messages on the talk pages of vandals who are not yet blocked; it will mislead admins and other users into believing the vandal is already blocked and therefore not block the vandal properly. --Nlu (talk) 04:49, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Please don't remove comments from talk pages, unless you're archiving them (in which case you should note that in the edit summary and provide a link to the archive). Thanks! Powers 02:26, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Paramount logo response
editIn response to your inquiry on the logo in Star Trek: Generations as copied from my talk page:
- Incredibly enough, I don't actually own the Generations DVD. But you're absoulotely right about the Paramount Communications name. I had completely forgotten about it at the time I uploaded these images. If I remember correctly, Viacom bought Paramount in 1993 and changed the logo shortly afterwards. As Generations came out in 1994, It most likely had the Viacom logo (I have a friend who owns the DVD, so I will double-check this). I think that we should have a picture of the logo with the Paramount Communications byline, though. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Green451 17:24, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Slats screenshot (MGM)
editHi there; just to let you know that Pawlis has finally added a screenshot of Slats to the Leo the Lion (MGM) article. It would be appreciated if you could look at the article whenever you have the chance. Thanks! LBM 00:26, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Universal Logo
editI haven't seen any Universal sound feature with a logo from 1929-1930... The new logo seems to have been introduced in 1932 or, at the earliest, in 1931... Have you seen a Universal sound film from 1929 or 1930 with a logo before the main title? If so, which one? AllTalking 15:36, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Full House: The Complete Fifth Season
editWell then cite your source! I wouldn't have a problem believing you, all you have to do is [http://www.sitcomsonline.com/invasionthecompleteseriesdvdreview.html] at the end of the date. It would look like this:
No need to get uptight about it. Doodoobutter 01:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Polka-Dot Puss
editAs per your request, I created a page for Polka-Dot Puss - hope it is to your liking! MartinP1983 00:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Signatures
editPlease don't edit other people's signatures, including mine. —tregoweth (talk) 15:41, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ahem: Why are you continuing to edit my signatures? —tregoweth (talk) 15:40, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Because I don't want to see your signature in italics! Gabrielkat 17:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Editing other people's talk page comments (including signatures) is considered unacceptable behavior under official Wikipedia policy. If you have a specific problem with my signature, please tell me what it is. —tregoweth (talk) 11:37, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Because I don't want to see your signature in italics! Gabrielkat 17:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
The problem is, there is a dash to the left of your name, and your name is in italics. I'd like to see the dash removed, and your name not in italics next time you post a comment on a talk page. Gabrielkat 15:04, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- That doesn't explain the problem; why shouldn't I have a dash and an italicized username? If it's causing problems for you (messing up page formatting for you, crashing your browser, etc.), I'll be happy to consider changing it. —tregoweth (talk) 15:48, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, that signature is causing problems for me. Gabrielkat 17:44, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I told you that signature is causing problems for me... but you still didn't change it! Gabrielkat 14:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't see your comment here; I assumed you would reply on my talk page. Anyway, what sort of problems? —tregoweth (talk) 23:19, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
The only problem that I could spot (right now) is that your signature is not spaced enough. If I find any more problems, I'll let you know. Gabrielkat 00:18, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've tweaked my signature, but I would like to remind you that you generally shouldn't edit other people's comments or signatures. Suppose someone changed your signature, as I did above, without explaining why. Wouldn't you be annoyed? —tregoweth (talk) 02:23, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I would. Gabrielkat 14:06, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've just spotted another problem... the font for "talk" is not in the same font (Arial) as your username!
Again, if I find any more problems, I'll let you know. Gabrielkat 01:00, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, that's on purpose; my username should show up in whatever your default font is, and "(talk)" in whatever your default fixed-width font is. —tregoweth (talk) 01:27, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- And I just noticed that you still edited my signature. If it's actually causing you a problem, tell me what the problem is, and I'll fix it. If you just don't like how it looks... we'll just have to agree to disagree. —tregoweth (talk) 01:29, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is the font for "talk". It's supposed to be in the same font as your username. Your signature would look something like this if your username and "talk" were in the same font:
Once again, I'll let you know if I find any more problems. Gabrielkat 19:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- "It's supposed to be in the same font as your username." Um, says who? Powers T 01:51, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Question
editHey Gabrielkat, what is your e-mail address? Because I tried sending you a pic of my video collection, but you seem to haven't got it. Can you put down your address? So I can scan my collection and show it to you? Imax80 21:17, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- My e-mail address is: gabriel_katikos@yahoo.com. And yes, I got the pic of your video collection... Gabrielkat 00:18, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Do you like it? --Imax80 18:51, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I like it! Now if only you could give me pics of the dark red FBI warnings and the video dealer announcement, as well as the blue FBI warnings (both "FBI" and "Licensed for..."), the "Now on Walt Disney Home Video..." bumper from "Return to Witch Mountain", and the "Coming Only to Theatres" bumper from "The Great Mouse Detective"... Gabrielkat 19:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- I may post them next year when I get a video capture unit forX-mas and new VHS player. ==Imax80 16:58, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- I am perfectly sure I am getting those devices. Then I will post them on Youtube so you can actually watch them, not look at a still shot of them. That'll better, so you want the FBI screens, and the WDHV bumper on my Witch Mountain cassette? --Imax80 03:53, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- I may post them next year when I get a video capture unit forX-mas and new VHS player. ==Imax80 16:58, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, that's what I want. But it would also be good if you could send those to me via IM! (That is, when you get the video capture unit and new VHS player...) Gabrielkat 12:28, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- How about this, I'll post them on Youtube, all in a big presentation. --Imax80 23:58, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- No, it would be better if you would send them to me via IM... Gabrielkat 03:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Things to Add
editThere's a pic of 1986 Robin Hood spine in that pic I sent you. I'll get the other stuff as soon as X-mas is over. --Imax80 22:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Since Christmas is over... aren't you going to give me those dark red FBI screens and video dealer announcement, as well as the other stuff that I wanted? Gabrielkat 20:33, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
Disney Sing Along Songs
editShowing pictures of the video box covers is one thing, but how does showing the actual cassettes add to the article?
Also, you kind of reverted a large amount of cleanup I was working on... —tregoweth (talk) 22:48, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey Gabrielkat! I just found out this info: In the U.S. of A., you vandalize a page; In Soviet Russia, page vandalizes YOU!! Now do you know about Russian Reversal? That's where I got my recent bad English. Want to make some more Russian Reversal jokes? --Ryanasaurus0077 01:04, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

I saw you reverted (again) this article. Per Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria these images are not allowed. If discographies are not allowed to have album covers, then the same counts for the dvd covers in this article. Garion96 (talk) 15:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

He's saying that he doesn't believe me that "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" didn't come out 10/12/89. Well Garion96, I know you believe me because I bought up that link for you so you could believe me on that. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LeoLion2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:LeoLion2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:30, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tomandjerrywithmeasles.JPG)
editThanks for uploading Image:Tomandjerrywithmeasles.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:08, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Vandalisim
editWhat I did was add information however I cited it the 199 Star Wars Documentary "From Star Wars to Star Wars", here's the link to prove such a documentary existed [2], do you honestly think if Amblin didn't produce those four they would have said they would in the documentary? If the answer's yes do you honestly believe in the slightest possibility that the studios, production companies and everyone else who worked hard on the film would have sat back and watched other people get credit for their hard work? What you are doing is deleting the cited information and that is regarded as vandalisim, so PLEASE STOP IT! Next time you do that I'll get an admin onto you and you will be blocked --AKR619 (talk) 03:44, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Your edits are vandalism, not mine! Do you think that Amblin produced Splash, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Forrest Gump, and even Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Well, guess what? In the documentary you mentioned, it does NOT mention that Amblin produced any of the first three films whatsoever, although ILM did some visual effects for those films. Also, Amblin had NO involvement with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (as I've seen the film, and it doesn't have the logo at the end), and the addition of TV ratings for most of the films in the Amblin Entertainment article is not necessary. If you keep reverting my edits, I'm going to get an administrator to block you, since you're a sockpuppet of DaffyDuck619! Gabrielkat (talk) 17:55, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- Gabrielkat and AKR619, I hope you will both calm down and start discussing this civilly. It is not vandalism to disagree and revert something. You DON'T NEED TO YELL to make your point. It is not very nice to call someone is a sockpuppet unless you can prove it. I hope you will both read WP:CIVIL, WP:VERIFY and WP:CITE and then talk to each other civilly. Neither of you have started a discussion on Amblin's talk page, which is the most appropriate forum for this discussion. You should encourage others to participate in the discussion. The more people the better. I suspect that this "controversy" can be resolved with some discussion. I don't want to block either of you, and I hope you can both respect that my time and efforts are better spent doing other things than moderating this sort of thing. Wikipedia is a project to write an encyclopedia collaboratively. If you do not like to work with others collaboratively, you should probably find something else to do with your free time. -- ☑ SamuelWantman 06:27, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
My patience is growing thin. You and AKR619 need to stay away from each other or learn how to work together. Also, please do not remove other people's comments on talk pages. It makes you look bad. Get an admin to step in if you must. If I see more disruption by the two of you, you will both be blocked. -- ☑ SamuelWantman 20:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:MTM logo 2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:MTM logo 2.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Your The Sword in the Stone (film) revisions
editHi. I just noticed that you and Hellboy10 are having a bit of an edit war over at the The Sword in the Stone (film) article. Could you at least explain why you're removing the release information that Hellboy10 has been restoring an edit summary, or discuss it in the article's talk page? If this keeps up you both might wind up violating the The Three revert rule and end up getting blocked for edit warring. -- Just trying to keep the peace, SilentAria talk 03:22, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hello again. I just wanted to let you know that marking major edits, such as removal of content in the The Sword in the Stone (film) article, as minor edits is considered poor etiquette. In the future, do not mark edits of this nature as minor. Please read Help:Minor edit. --SilentAria talk 04:00, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I started up a discussion regarding the recent edits to The Great Mouse Detective at the article's talk page. Let's stop it with the constant reverting and come up with a solution that we can all agree on. --SilentAria talk 06:05, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of List of Walt Disney and Buena Vista video releases
editAn editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of Walt Disney and Buena Vista video releases. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Walt Disney and Buena Vista video releases. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:50, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
SpongeBob SquarePants (season 7)
editJust so you know, you reverted it to an unsourced version riddled with errors (e.g. "Season seven premiered on July 19, 2009 and will end Spring 2011."). I've said repeatedly in the edit summaries that if someone wants to put the episode summaries back in, fine, but it should matched the sourced episode list. There are a couple of IP editors (such as 69.135.160.44 and 142.165.152.138) that have a been blocked before for deliberately introducing errors into the article, and you've reverted to the version they've mucked together. edit You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please note, one does not need to violate the three-revert rule to be engaging in edit warring, and one may be blocked regardless of not having violated the three-revert rule. Geronimo Stilton
editHi, I notice this edit, where you seem to have reverted an effort to make the date formats consistent, as is required by our Manual of Style. Looking at the history, you seem to have done it at least twice before.
I don't know whether this is a dispute based on whether dmy or mdy format the dates should be unified to – it seems not to be, for you have left a number of dmy dates on the page. In the event of dispute, our convention is to tie-break it back to the earliest version. The first date (in dmy) was inserted with this edit, in September 2009, months before you inserted these mdy dates. And that date remains in the article.
As the desire for consistency is paramount, and the rules are clear as to the format that prevails, I have reverted your change, in addition to making a few formatting fixes of my own for WP:MOS-compliance. Regards, -- Ohc ¡digame!¿que pasa? 03:50, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
Treehouse of Horror syntax
editI reverted your edit wherein you changed the proper 1930s' to 1930's. I reverted this because the circus was from the 1930s as a decade rather than 1930 itself; the context being the circus "belonged" to the decade, not the year much in the same way we would refer to music from the 1970s as 1970s' music as opposed to music from solely 1970 which would be the only instance when 1970's music would be correct.Stereorock (talk) 12:10, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Episode names
editHi; I noticed that you removed all of the quotation marks I put around the names of Family Guy episodes, yet did not write anything in the edit summary.
The manual of style says: "Examples of titles which are quoted but not italicized" include "Single episodes or plot arcs of a television series or other serial audio-visual program"
So I am going to go ahead and revert your reverts; if you disagree with my interpretation of the MOS, feel free to explain your reasoning. Best wishes, Fennler (talk) 23:19, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
Please stop reverting my edits. The MOS says to put episode names in quotes. If you look at pages for The Simpsons, Stewie Griffin, and the like, you will see that the quotation marks are accepted by most editors. I'm only trying to make the encyclopedia consisted with itself and the MOS, and even if they "aren't really necessary", they are encouraged and I don't see how we gain anything from their removals.

Source for Spongebob Squarepants Filmed in 2D
editHi Gabrielkat. Thank you so much for your work on List of 3D films. I run realorfake3d.com, and I have Spongebob Squarepants listed as shot in 3D, but I have a fairly weak source. American Dad! edit war
editJust to clarify, you've actually breached 3RR at List of American Dad! episodes. American Dad! (season 11) was split as the result of a discussion at Talk:List of American Dad! episodes, after an IP made a complaint and a WP:POINTy edit to American Dad! (season 11). TBS is now calling its episodes season 12 and reliable sources are following suit, including one that you claimed supported a 22 episode 12th season, so the resolution to the complaint seemed simply to split the season. Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Talk:List of American Dad! episodes if you have questions. --AussieLegend (✉) 01:15, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

B&B episode count
editHi, following up on the AN/I posting, I wanted to let you know that it is not appropriate to undo someone's edit and then reinstate it as your own. Wikipedia contributors are expected to collaborate in a professional manner, and this is not professional or collaborative. It seems like updating the count is important to you personally, so you are welcome to discuss things with User:Livelikemusic and come to a mutual agreement over how to update the count. Until such agreement is formed, you'll have to content yourself with updating the count on a first come first served basis. No more petty reverting. Please let me know if you have any questions. ~Adjwilley (talk) 20:43, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
Update and final warning
editBased on your comments here [3] and your actions, you seem to have WP:OWNership issues with these articles. This is further demonstrated by your edit here [4] which was before the air date, in violation of the guidelines, and obvious attempt to "own" the changing of the numbers. As Adjwilley explained above, Wikipedia is a collaborative project, actions like this are out of step with our goals and methods. If you do this again, revert and replace with your edit to "take credit" or otherwise violate policy on these article or exhibit ownership issues, you will be blocked. This should be seen as your last and final warning. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 15:34, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Family Guy Season 16 article (and individual episode articles)
editI noticed that many of the episode articles for Season 16 of Family Guy redirect to the recently-linked article, except for the one for the Season Premiere, "Emmy-Winning Episode". Other episode articles don't redirect to any of the articles for the first fifteen seasons, so I don't really see a reason why the articles need to be redirected. IMHO, I think maybe the episode articles should still be individual. What do you think? DecaTilde 23:53, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
If you want my opinion, maybe you should just create the pages for the episodes so when we click on the episode, it’ll direct us to the episode article. I mean I thought you were in charge of that. What’s making you lag? Fghsfijgig (talk) 00:21, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
