Changes done on Catherine Rostopchin's page
editHi,
Pardon me for this, but I don't really agree with the changes you've suggested for the first paragraph -
'She was married to Feodor Rostopchin, who served as governor of Moscow during the French Invasion of Russia.' This sentense is very much clear and does not misrepresent the information of her being the Governor, instead of her husband.
Change is not required there.
Changes done on line 16 & 26 seem un-necessary. Though, removing the linkage to Maid of Honor is correct.

That is the sentence I wrote. The original read "Catherine Petrovna Rostopchin (Russian: Екатерина Петровна Ростопчина; 1776 – 14 September 1859) was a Russian aristocrat, writer and the wife of Feodor Rostopchin, who served as governor of Moscow during the French Invasion of Russia."
In that version, It sounds as though she was an aristocrat, writer, and wife, and she served as governor.
Line 26, in my opinion, was necessary, as "she" could refer to either female in the previous sentence. Protasova ensuring her own nieces' education, or the Empress ensuring the education of Protasova's nieces.
If you still disagree, you are well within your right to revert my changes and I will gladly step back and allow someone more knowledgeable than I to fix it. :) Fennler (talk) 21:43, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
