thanks
editthanks for your updating, interesting what escapes tagging. JarrahTree 10:13, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- @JarrahTree: oh yeah definitely, I've just been stumbling upon random articles while reading stuff and then I just check the talk page to see if it's been tagged - then you figure out pretty much an entire category of articles have been forgotten about. Fork99 (talk) 10:20, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- good on you - it is indeed a thankless task, but, in the end it is well worth it! keep reading! JarrahTree 10:29, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

Yeah, you were right about the edit on NSW Trainlink. I've just noticed on the map network.

Luxury Escapes ambiguity
editRe Luxury Escapes - good work with the recent edits. @Fork99
Given the prominence of this brand in the Australian market most known for it's travel agency business (rather than TV show) - and the current ambiguity on wiki between the website and TV show of the same name, is it best to create 2 separate wiki articles? For example:
- Luxury Escapes (TV show)
- Luxury Escapes (travel agency)
The travel agency (including website) is one of Australia's largest travel brands...
Article claims "307,828 – Luxury Escapes bookings in 2022": https://travelweekly.com.au/article/study-finds-90-of-australians-plan-to-travel-in-2023-their-destination-preferences-revealed/
Website claims over 7 million members: https://luxuryescapes.com/au/about-us
Google trends show larger search interest than other popular brand such as agoda, expedia: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&geo=AU&q=Luxury%20Escapes,agoda,expedia,luxury%20escape%20tv&hl=en-GB
They have just won Most Outstanding Travel Agency at the AITA awards: https://travelweekly.com.au/article/breaking-all-the-winners-of-the-atias-2024-national-travel-industry-awards/ Plzy (talk) 01:52, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Plzy: If you think that the travel agency as a topic will pass Wikipedia's guidelines on notability (the main test used to determine whether a topic deserves an article on Wikipedia), please feel free to start a draft article by following the steps at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. I still don't think that the sources that you provided demonstrate significant coverage in secondary reliable sources and/or are not promotional. Fork99 (talk) 02:29, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
Info on Outback Xplorer
editG'day, @Fork99,
I've just recently (just kidding 3 months ago) reverted an edit you did on Outback Xplorer. It was the one where you mentioned the name wasn't official. Well, I have a correction for you. I've reverted the edit, because if you see the website here, and you scroll down, it reads
The Broken Hill Outback Xplorer train runs weekly every Monday to Broken Hill.
The name is still official. I have read your reasoning on the the archived talk page, and it applies for Northern Tablelands Express, but not for Outback Xplorer.
Please reply if you received this message.
Thanks. MrActiniuM (talk) 09:07, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MrActiniuM: ok, thanks for the info. Fork99 (talk) 09:28, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- No problem! MrActiniuM (talk) 09:29, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
