Your right, the page should be deleted. I tried to redirect it to Book of Mormon but couldn't. Would you like to do the honors? 12.75.41.67 (talk) 06:41, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Nah I don't have much experience with deletion Enoryt nwased lamaj (talk) 06:42, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Recent page moves

edit

Hi Enoryt nwased lamaj,

I reverted the page moves you made. I didn't notice you were a fairly new Wikipedia editor at the time, or else I'd have maybe been a bit less brusque. For what it's worth, I hope this isn't discouraging! There's a lot of topics on the Sino-Japanese War that badly need expansion and work, and if you're interested in taking a look into expanding it, that'd be great. It's just that article titles have some special rules, and in general, Wikipedia tries to be very cautious about "inventing" names. There's a whole set of policies, but the most important one is WP:COMMONNAME, which basically says "use what the English-language sources use." Basically, if some military historian wrote a book in English on the Sino-Japanese War, then whatever they called the battles is good evidence that Wikipedia should do the same. That's the kind of evidence you want to look for to make a strong move request, in general.

I hope things go well, and per above, apologies if the reverted moves came across as brusque. Good luck! SnowFire (talk) 19:13, 4 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
