Redirect fixing

After seeing some of your recent contributions, I just thought I'd point out WP:NOTBROKEN. Dismas|(talk) 04:30, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Sure, but this batch of fixes is laying the groundwork for further disambiguation work as the US LFL has changed the name of its championship (and that name is shared with a Russian senior soccer event) but the international versions are just now starting up their own championships under the old name. It was either fix it all now or have to sort through a ton of links to find the misdirected ones later. - Dravecky (talk) 05:16, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
I see. Your edit summaries didn't mention any higher purpose, so I was misled as to what your intentions were. Thanks for clearing it up. Dismas|(talk) 11:50, 8 June 2013 (UTC)

Nomination of Stu Klitenic for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether if Stu Klitenic should be deleted or not. The conversation will be held at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stu Klitenic until a consensus is held and everyone is welcome to join the conversation. However, do not remove the AfD message on the top of the page. Ashbeckjonathan 03:17, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. I've improved the article and weighed in with a !vote. - Dravecky (talk) 07:37, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stu Klitenic, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The State (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:18, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Stu Klitenic

Hey, that's no problem! You are more than welcome to improve the article but two things that you have to keep in mind: 1. The AfD message must not be removed until a consensus is held. 2. It may be deleted somepoint either late this week or mid week. If you have any questions, leave them on my talk page and I will respond to your question. Thanks and have a nice day! Ashbeckjonathan 20:31, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

What on Earth are you talking about? I've not removed the AfD message from the article. - Dravecky (talk) 21:44, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
I did not accuse of anything and that was not a personal attack. If you want me to apologize, I'll do it now. I am sorry. But I hate this but I suggest you should know that everybody has different opinions. I need from editing Wikipedia until Friday. Besides, I am going to retire today and will not return to Wikipedia for a while. You may leave a message my talk page but I will not respond if I am in retirement. Ashbeckjonathan 21:41, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Francisco Romero

Thanks for making a vote to keep Francisco Romero! Have you ever got frustrated of losing an article? WisconsinBoyClevelandRocks228844 (talk) 20:03, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Of course, but only when the sourcing wasn't ultimately there to prove notability for Wikipedia's purposes. Welcome, by the way, and good job jumping right in at AfD. So few brand new editors know enough to participate in that venue. - Dravecky (talk) 06:38, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Oh, you're User:Ashbeckjonathan editing under a new name? That's explains a few things. - Dravecky (talk) 11:54, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

EISL Logos

Saw that we were both working on the EISL page. I wanted to add the logo of the teams to their individual pages. I found the webpage where you pulled the Huntsville Fire logo, but I can't figure out how to correctly add them to wikicommons to upload onto wikipedia. How would I be able to add the logos making them: Non-free media information and use rationale – non-free logo for Huntsville Fire? Of course, this would be for all other teams not the Hunstville Fire. Thanks in advance, Spatms

You'll need to upload them directly to Wikipedia since Commons only accepts free media and these are the (theoretically) copyrighted logos of organizations. In the left-hand menu, open "Toolbox" then choose "Upload file" and follow the prompts. - Dravecky (talk) 20:25, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! Greatly appreciated. - User:spatms (talk) 14:50, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:WMVN-FM logo.png)

Thanks for uploading File:WMVN-FM logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:37, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

No worries. It wasn't really much of a logo. - Dravecky (talk) 07:17, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Rachel Maddow Show, Edit 22 June 2013

Your posting is: "On September 18, 2012, the show hit a new milestone with 2,040,000 viewers (with 703,000 in the 25–54 demographic), beating Fox News's The O'Reilly Factor in the demographic for the night."

It appears that fans of Maddow want to create spin or fact through misrepresentation of the viewing statistics. There are the obvious postings by Caidh that got corrected stating Maddow either beat O'Reilly completely, beat O'Reilly in two demographics, or won the time slot. All of these are wrong. The proper context for a ratings posting is that she did win a demographic when compared to Hannity in her time slot or O'Reilly in a different time slot. However, your posting does not include those facts which are contained in the citation. You are more than welcome to make the point that Maddow got 2.04M viewer on 18 Sept 2012. If you want to compare demographics and shows, put those comparisons in context. Omitting the information in the citation that time slots are different or attempting to leave the impression that she won either the time slot or outperformed the O'Reilly Factor bumps up against the definition of sneaky vandalism. Mott Black Coffee (talk) 16:12, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Wow. Was just trying to clean up some loose grammar there. I'll presume you meant to assume good faith instead of accusing me of "sneaky vandalism". - Dravecky (talk) 03:25, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
